We enjoyed our stay at the hotel.

We were given a different room then I booked at first, but they happily changed it when I mentioned it.

Welcoming owner in spute of our late arrival. A comfy bed and a hot shower much appreciated. The decor is 'très scottish' and the dining room even more so. A bit of Scotland in France and it seems the restaurant is good and the sekection if whisky outstanding. A resl gem.

Difficult to dislike such a welcoming friendly place! :The tartan carpets and wall hangings are distinctive and young guests might find this too old-fashioned.

The building had a lot of charm yet the room had modern touches and very comfortable.the staff did a great job. Will be my go to hotel when I am in town. Close to the train station. The restaurant Had good food.

Delightful owner and friendly staff. Small but comfortable room with well-designed modern bathroom. Convenient parking in station car-park opposite. Dogs allowed, also in dining room. Good evening meal and breakfast.

The room hadn’t been cleaned, the carpet hadn’t been hoovered, the bath had someone’s hairs in it, the shower head had to be held as it didn’t have the same fitting as the wall holder, the curtains didn’t close and the electric mechanism to open and close them didn’t appear to be connected to the curtains, the curtains themselves were grubby, there was rubbish under the bed from previous occupants, repairs had been made to the room but to an disinterested amateur standard, all walls were grubby and marked and all the furnishings were poor. The area outside is the station car park and a hangout at night for alcoholics and drug users who make there presence known by shouting, screaming, fighting and with their dogs barking incessantly. The hotel has a confused Scottish style that is an insult to the Scottish. I was looking forward to a warm, cordial Scottish welcome and even having drinks in the bar but it was clear that this was a fantasy of the owners.
