We are a family of 4 (kids our 8 and 5 years old). Our plan was to visit different places around Boyaca, but with all the hotel had to offer we ended up spending more time relaxing there. We played tennis, went for walks, used the pool, visited the farm, took the kids on a horse ride. There was lots we didn’t do as well. The prices in the restaurants are more than reasonable. We would drive into to Paipa for one of our meals to mix it up. In summary, we loved our stay and it was great value for money.

Our room was opposite the restaurant and the noise travels easily from there to the room. At night, it wasn’t an issue but from about 06:30 you can clearly hear music and the general noise of people. My kids slept through it though.

The outdoor pool is beatiful (could be a bit warmer). The natural thermal water jacuzzis are fabulous, book in advance! The facilities are great with spectacular views and many activites on offer for all ages and tastes. The restaurants are excellent, keep up the great quality and service. The staff are absolutely wonderful.

The spa is quite small and the showers need fixing.

I loved the people most of all, i loved the location, the staff were exceptional and I also loved that they were pet friendly. This was my best vacation ever.

I am sorry to disappoint you but the truth of the matter is that there wasn’t anything I didn’t like, everything was just perfect.

The setting with the lake, facilities and views were excellent and the staff were very nice and helpful

The italian restaurant was closed, we were told it would open next day but didn't. There was also no bar. Breakfast was great but dinner in main restaurant was quite poor and not value for money

I loved the food , the chefs at this hotel are the best in both restaurants , breakfast has everything for everyone . The Italian restaurant all the dishes we had were delicious, kudos to the chefs

The front desk people were not the friendliest and or accommodating!

This hotel is a gem in every sense and a great discovery for us. The rooms are spacious and clean, the hotel is surrounded by extensive green areas by lake Sochagota, where we took hikes and watched birds. Families with small kids find plenty to do, with an outdoor play area, warm swimming pool and games and activities indoors. Horse back riding, bike rental and more are also available. But the best of all is the incredible service by all employees everywhere, in the restaurant, gym, hallways, etc. We are truly in awe. We hope they all are very well paid because absolutely everyone did their best to make our stay memorable. Thank you, hotel Estelar, you are truly Stellar!! Sofía kearns

The facilities are very nice and the breakfast is incredible. The beds are confty and the staff is kind. The pool and the sauna are nice and the options to make different activities make everything amazing. I love it.

The service was slow as the hotel was crowded and the standard room iis kind of small for the price you pay for 4 people. (we couldn't get another one as it was packed). Standard room for 4 people is too small.

I loved the system of scheduling times for all the free and paying activities. It helped me organizing my time at the hotel. The kindness and respect from the all staff (at the spa, the restaurant, the front desk, housekeeping, the boat house, etc.) made me feel respected, appreciated and valued. The music during meals was simply awesome and the volume was just right. I certainly enjoyed the 24 hour room service. The food was tasty and the options in the menu were the perfect amount. The bathrobes!!! The clean and dry towels on each of the spa locations. The clean and well stocked bathrooms around the building. The board games always had the pieces/equipment required to use them. The close touristic attractions such as the Lanceros monument. I will always prefer and choose a pet-friendly hotel like this beautiful place.

The toilet kept getting clogged. We had to use the outside toilets several times. When the restaurant was busy, it took a long time to be noticed by the waiting staff and the food arrived at different times for each person in my party. This was not the case on regular days with less guests.

The view from the room was great. I could see Sochagota lake and enjoy beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The room was tidy and comfortable. Staff was kind and helpful. The hotel offers a spa area but I didn't use it. However, it looked really nice.

Spa options are very good, for jacuzzi you book in avance your own time which is great. Pool is climatized in the afternoon, that is good when day is cloudy and or windy
