Comfortable beds, kettle, tea & coffee (even decaffeinated!). Clean and cozy. Modern bathroom. Electricity sockets were conveniently located near beds and the table. Breakfast was 10/10, wide choice of foods, including local Norwegian caviar spread, several types of eggs (boiled, scrambled, fried), coffee machine, juice, yoghurts, apples, several types of ham, and many many more! Breakfast was till 09:30 on weekdays and till 10:00 on weekend, but we came a bit later than that, because we like to sleep in, and fortunately there was no problem! TV was also nice to have.

Check out time wasn't specified, neither on Booking.com, nor at the check in desk, so the cleaning lady took us by surprise at 12:00. Fortunately, we planned to leave by 13:00 anyway, so it was fine. The curtains were a bit too long and were obstructing the heater/radiator and so wasted some energy. Also the thermostat was weird, it showed quite high temperature of 27 degrees Celsius, decreasing it didn't seem to work. And thermostat menu was all in Norwegian, no English available.

I stayed at Narvik Budget Room for a single night, and it was just right for that purpose. The compact room was clean, comfortable, and had everything I needed for a restful night, including free Wi‑Fi and a work desk . The breakfast, served as a buffet, was varied and tasty . Getting to and from the hotel was super convenient. It’s located directly opposite a bus stop , and the train station is just a pleasant 10–15 minute walk away  . Additionally, there are two supermarkets right next door, which made it easy to grab snacks or necessities.

I stayed at Narvik Budget Room for a single night, and it was just right for that purpose. When we arrived we were told that the budget rooms that we had booked were not available and they updated us to a better hotel room with no extra cost. Also, when we needed to stay for an extra night they charged us the budget room price and not the updated hotel room, which was highly appreciated. Also, in snowstorm days during the weekend when the hotel restaurant was not open, the staff members helped us with other alternatives ( for example they offered microwave oven for food we already had and even prepared us a toast when we couldn’t go out because of the storm). Additionally, I liked that they offered infinite coffee and tea even after breakfast, and the people working there were very helpful and polite.

The only recommendation I would have is that since the hotel restaurant is not open during weekends, it would be useful to have some ready meals other than chips available. Since it was a snowstorm when we were there, we couldn’t really go outside and there was no food leftovers from our travel. However, the staff was very helpful and offered us some alternatives such as a sandwich at no cost.

We have stayed in Narvik budget rooms - so it was budget, but it was Ok for us. The same place also has normal hotel - so business people or everyone can choose variant according their choice. Check-in was at the hotel reception. Free parking. We were 4 friends travelling from Lofoten to home. We had 2 rooms for 2 person. Simple room - good beds, bathroom. No possibilities to prepare the food. But we had possibility to get breakfast at the hotel restaurant. The breakfast was very good. We haven't walked in the Narvik, I can't comment about the place.

No space in the Budget Rooms so we were allocated a room in the hotel, thank you Thon Partner Narvik Hotel. Staff were friendly and polite and helpful. Room and bathroom were spacious, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was very good and included in the room price. Free access to coffee/tea during the day. Possibility to have a single-dish fixed menu dinner, paying for this. Well placed for access to the skying area and gondola. Plenty of car park if required. Two supermarkets really close to the hotel.

This would not be a problem for those who drive there, but for those who go by foot from the railway station or bus station, there is an approximately 20 min walk up a steep hill to get there. And worth checking the opening days of the gondola when planning the stay if that is of interest, eg, we had not realised that the gondola was only open on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays in September (and we were staying there on other days).

Breakfast was good but it was so busy that tables weren’t cleared(cleared them ourself) and food was running out at around 9.15 so be aware don’t go down late for breakfast! Breakfast finished at 10am. Loved the walk to the ski lift and where the hostel was situated. Really liked Narvik, the fish house and war museum. Absolutely loved the cable car late at night and watching the midnight sun over the fjord.

Staff were a little reserved.

Simple but comfortable. Excellent variety in breakfast buffet. Walking distance (though uphill!) from railway station and long distance bus. Ample space to wait after checking out.

Why call them "budget rooms"? This is an annex of a normal hotel.

The breakfasts were first class. Views over the town very good from the resturant.

The path down to the rooms was in poor condition, you could not wheel suitcase along it.

We were moved to a room in the main Thon hotel, due to a bad drain smell in bathroom of our Budget Room.(Rest of budget rooms fully booked). This option was immediately offered by helpful receptionist. The budget room itself was functional but very basic. By contrast the upgraded room had kettle, TV etc. The breakfast is superb with lots of choice. Free coffee available throughout the day and budget room guests free to use Thon lounge and communal areas. Reception and restaurant staff all very friendly and professional. Two supermarkets nearby and bus stop outside. Short downhill walk to rail station.

Terribly rutted driveway down to budget rooms made wheeling cases difficult. Hotel situated up a steep hill - we worked out how to take bus from Town Hall stop near bus station. (Maybe provide this information to guests arriving by bus from Boden?)
