Lovely spacious, comfortable rooms. We loved our pool and sea access from the water villa. Food and atmosphere on the island is very different at each of the restaurants. I recommend trying each one at the start if your holiday to find your preference.

Personal choice, but we found the resort, which is spread over two islands too big and certain facilities such as the scuba diving centre were only on one of the islands.so we couldn't avoid travelling between both of the islands. Buggy transport isn't guaranteed and sometimes you can be waiting a long time so you are better using the pushbikes provided wherever possible.

The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. The resort and beaches were very clean. The food was exceptional at most restaurants. There were plenty of excursions for us to do. The spa/couples massage was absolutely amazing and in a very relaxing environment. The rooms were very comfortable and spacious. The complementary bath and in-room breakfast was marvelous.

The breakfast buffet, I wish would've changed throughout, it was the same everyday. The mosquitos bit me every time we traveled back inland. The free activities could've been better promoted. We called to ask about bocce and no one seemed to know what is was although it was on the activities calendar provided to us.

This island is one of the most beautiful places we've even been to. The marine life outside the villas is just stunning - make sure to explore the reef further on! Sharks, turtles and ray sightings were a daily occurence. We also got to see the dolphins up close several times which was such a treat! The staff was incredibly nice and attentive and the food was amazing everywhere we went. We loved the french Falhumaa restaurant the best. We went in July and were fortunate to only have one rainy day during our week-long stay. During the off-season, we felt like we had the resort to ourselves and would absolutely go again. Can't recommend enough!

- the staff was increadibly friendly, attentive to details and really made us feel at home (special mention to li bai restaurent manager vingesh and shayn) - the island is stunning - the villas on dighuruh island were stunning, calm and amazing scenery -the fact that there are two island make you feel like you have different spaces

- water villa on the old island are dated and in my opinion not worth it - all inclusive offer is sometimes limited and this could be a bit frustrating at times (all inclusive menu different than à la carte and even within the all inclusive there are lot of items that needs extra charge) having said that the staff were very pro active to help solve this

Everything was exceptional. The staff were very friendly, their was plenty of free activities throughout the day. The meals and drinks were high quality the rooms were spectacular

The o my thing g I didn’t really like about the experience was having to pay so much for the short internal flight it’s was nearly 500 USD for the 50 minute flight which was twice the price for the actual flight from the UAE. no need for it to be that expensive

Excellent staff -everywhere you get support even without asking, warm smiles included. Beautiful and well maintained island Ressort, excellent breakfast and bikes for mobility.

Prices quite high for end of season. Some food ordered in restaurant was good, but not extraordinary.

We chose this hotel due to there being two islands to explore and because it had more dining options, shops and places to go. The food was great. The staff were so friendly and so helpful. We loved cycling around the islands. The spa was incredible and best massage ive ever had! Everything felt like great value for your money. Everywhere was so clean and tidy. We had a picnic lunch on beach which was so much fun.

The main downside is having to transfer from Male for another 1 hour flight and having to wait for delays and baggage to get to the hotel. But once you leave the second airport getting to the hotel was very quick and easy. The bug spraying of the island was not nice to cycle through.

Wow- we had an incredible stay at the Residence Maldives. They staff are SO unbelievably friendly, they always say hello and cannot do enough for you. The resorts are so so clean and beautiful. We loved the bikes, drinks, food was delicious. Spa treatments and view were incredible. Definitely recommend.

Although the food and staff were amazing, the Lond Island restaurant and Li Bai were in the same building with the same staff and same music. You get to go here 4 times with your all inclusive. It’s worth it for the food but would have been nice to have a change of scenery. I thought there also would’ve been a mention of our honeymoon. Not looking for a freebie but maybe a bed decoration or something. All in all though the most perfect stay

The staff are amazing - always smiling, always very friendly and helpful. The room (water bungalow with pool) was incredible. The housekeeping staff including Francis were excellent. The food in the dining room was great and the staff there - Ishan, Shani, Nahil, Hazrat, Suhana were all lovely. I had a massage in the spa with Sanjay who was amazing. The snorkelling along the reef is absolutely beautiful and we had free use of snorkels, fins and life jackets.

The meat at times wasn't amazing - you could tell it wasn't fresh - but I understand that it has to get imported to the island so it's not fresh that day. We weren't aware of all the restaurants and things on offer on the island - we felt that the lobby or information back we were given at check in could have been clearer and a little more thorough. Also when we arrived we were told most of the restaurants were booked up for our stay - but no-one had contacted us before our trip to say we should pre book which was frustrating.

We stayed at the Residence Maldives for 6 nights for a long delayed honeymoon mid-April. We booked on Booking.com, and reserved an over-the water pool villa. My review sums up in one word - excellent. Truly 5 star resort. Amazing service from everyone in the resort, from the moment we were met at the Male Airport (we had to do nothing, we were met by their representative and everything was taken care of and seamless with the internal flight and boat) to the moment we left. Everyone always has a smile on, is super quick to meet your request and the staff are genuinely nice people. The bar staff, the cleaning staff, the reception staff, the restaurants staff...amazing. The room was nice and clean. Amazing views of the bay, the sunset and the sea. No complaints at all and truly 5 star facilities here. Word of advice, however - there are two resorts in fact, and we booked Falhuma (we didn't know, so it's probably on us). The Dihurah is larger and newer. Getting between the two is easy though on the bicycles provided (or the golf carts you can ask for a ride in if you're so inclined). We asked for a room change as I wanted to be able to get into the sea from our villa and the reception supervisor Shawin was super helpful and accommodating. The resort manager as well, Mr. Visham, came to check in on us. Truly excellent service as they didn't need to accommodate. I'll end with the food and drink. All inclusive package is amazing. The choice of drinks at the bars and restaurants was more than adequate (for example, 4-5 gins to choose from, including Bombay and tanqueray, Glenfiddich 12 and more premium alcohol, plenty of cocktail choices, 4+ red wine choices, etc). I don't understand the reviews that said the choice is limited. It is not, so book with confidence if that is a concern. The only downside is the room minibar only has beer, for anything else you need to go to the nearest bar that's always a few minutes away. No issues.
