First Camp Lulea is a lovely place to stay over in winter! Wonderful and very quiet! Easy access with a key box at the reception; I arrived on foot walking across the water from the Lulea - a highly recommended experience if the ice is strong enough! The house was warm, hot water, very well equipped kitchen. Really great! Good opportunities to walk further - a 2.5 hours walk to Gammelstad for example. I am not sure how it is in the summer as there is a lot of houses at the site and it looks rather crowded. But for a stay in winter it was really wonderful!

I was under the impression that there was a sauna, but could not locate it...

The cottage is set in a forest area with nice natural surroundings, offering a simple atmosphere. It was clean, warm, and comfortable enough for a short stay, providing a decent base for exploring the outdoors.

The self-check-in process was quite frustrating and could have been much smoother. Since we arrived after the reception had closed, we had to make multiple calls to get essential information that should have been provided upfront. First, we had to request the code for the key safe, then call again to find out where the cottage was located, and yet again to figure out how to open the gates for vehicle access. To top it off, linens weren’t included in the price and weren’t in the cottage, so we had to order them and call again to find out where to collect them. Receiving clear and comprehensive instructions before arrival would have made a huge difference.

It was a clean and quite warm cabin that we stayed.

Since the campsite is quite large and there was no staff at the reception during the weekends, we struggled significantly to find our cabin. Moreover, the camp did not answer the phone or send the entrance code and room key until we contacted Booking. As a result, we were left outside for more than two hours trying to find a way to obtain the code. Additionally, the camp had told us that early check-in was available if needed, but forgetting to send the code.

It was really small but we only stayed there for a night so it was okay. It was pretty close to Luleå by car, I don't know if the acces is easy if you don't. We didnt really interact with the staff as we arrived quite late and left really early. I guess in the summer is a lot better, but now it was empty with no activity, with can be a good thing. We weren't cold at all, which was something I was scared of. Overall a pretty good experience.

It was really small and tight, beds weren't the best but they were okay.

The cabins were very warm and clean. All the necessary facilities and a good strong hot shower! It was easy to get to by bus from the centre. The sauna available for rent was great. Can walk across the lake to the ice track! The staff were so lovely and helpful. I'm surprised this place doesn't have even more good reviews! Amazing winter spot, felt very safe and peaceful 😊

I loved the location, the bus is going to and from there (not all the time though, you have to check), the place is paradise and very quiet. The little cabin was so nice and cozy and it was all so worth the price.

I was supposed to have the view on the lake, I have to admit that I was disappointed by that and also this was not what I had paid for... I had view on a pile of snow...

It was nice to have some space in an accommodation. Much better than staying in a hotel. There are also some nice amenities for children, such as a pool, playground, etc. It's too bad they're closed during the winter.

The requirements for room cleaning were a bit much, including not only vacuuming but also mopping the floors and cleaning the toilet both on the inside and outside, and the penalty for neglecting to clean was quite high at just under 700 SEK. On top of that, I could not find any information on how much it would cost if we just booked a cleaning (i.e., whether it would be cheaper than the 700 SEK to book cleaning in advance), and since it was the weekend, there was no staff to ask.

Our cottage (4 people cottage) was above expectations. We have been there in February and it was very warm inside. The cottage was very clean and spacious and had a good kitchen. We asked to be close to the river and they granted us this request. The spot was great to see the aurora in the night just outside our cottage. The beds were comfortable. The sauna was great. The location is absolutely great, out of the city, with lots of trees and on the lake.

Communication regarding the sauna has been poor. First they don't have a good booking system so in the weekend only one person can have the sauna for the whole weekend, so we could not use it. We booked it for Monday and the receptionist was not clear on the time that they booked for us and also not clear about the price. We thought that the sauna was free, instead it's 350sek for 2hours. It's worth it but it was not well communicated. Also the sauna is not at all the one in the pictures on their website, it's much smaller and has a more traditional shape. Finally, you need to be able to light up a wood stove to use it, and this was also not clear. Maybe most people don't have problems with this but not everyone has done it before.

Cabin was basic, but comfortable with useful kitchen facilities and the site has lots to do for the kids. It's a beautiful area to explore by bike with lots of trails in the woods.

If you don't have a car, it's a little difficult to get around the local area. Every activity costs extra - swimming pool, canoeing, bike hire, etc which is fine but adds up! Take insect repellant if you come in summer!

Peaceful location and nice cottage.

The fact that the cottage has to be left in the condition you got it. I dont know how the cottages are checked but it seems the checks are not very well done since there are some dirty doors and toilet seats left behind by previous guests. For this price you pay for this kind of accomodation i think the bedlinnen could be included. But 420 SEK for 3 sets is a bit salty.
