We knew that we booked a $120 unit and not $350 unit. Ie expected it to be as it was with no complaints. The manager was very helpful for our needs and we appreciated it. The kitchen was amazing ti do your own meal. Was not expecting that. So that made the whole 1n so cheap to go to Cooktown. Lovely garden room area.

The laundry urgently need a revamp. And have more than 1 working machine and dryer.

The motel was well located, close to the main supermarket. The room facilities were good, with a separate bathroom with a walk-in shower. The main room was a good size with a microwave and fridge.

The only downside was that the free WiFi was weak to non-existent in our room, but it was fine in the public spaces.

Excellent location... just off the main street. Lots of cafes ro pick from.. the RSL was out favourite place. Lot of history to check out. The lookout was magnificent.They've done a great job down on the water.

WiFi at the motel was very average. But the WiFi at most places we've stayed is like that anyway

Quiet location, close to town centre. Lovely friendly staff. Great value budget accomodations and very clean. Large communal kitchen available for use. Icy cold aircon.

The motel is obviously older - this is not a complaint, just a statement, it didn't bother me whatsoever. Everything was well looked after and spotlessly clean

The couple at reception staff were friendly and helpful.

I stayed in room 2 and the wifi was crap. I needed to use it for work but couldn’t. The laminated sheet in my room showed the incorrect information. TelstraE66 or The Cooktown Motel - which one is it? I’ll be back in a month but…

Facilities were good. There was an indigenous sporting fixture, so the motel was very busy. Everyone was friendly. The pool was set away from where we stayed. Children were having a great time in the water. Loved being able to use the laundry.

Managers were easy to contact on arrival and very friendly, cheery, and helpful. The room and facilities were very clean and the grounds and gardens well maintained. Overall good value for money

The staff were amazing. Offered us space in their shed to lock up our motorbike were very obliging with a couple of other things and went out of their way to help. Room had everything we needed. Gardens were a perfect haven to sit and have a cuppa..

The property was neither new nor fancy but had a good feel. Staff were great, helpful.

Location. It was a little far to walk to the centre of town but doable if no issues with knee joints. The traffic noise, from trucks in particular, on the loud side at times.

Didn't pay a lot so expected a run down motel. Facilities were excellent and very good value for money. Clean, comfortable rooms with good advice from the staff of what to see and do and where to eat.

Not a lot
