Here’s the final version with that detail included: ⸻ Romantic Weekend Getaway ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We booked the Master Suite at Pousada Pedra Azul for a couples weekend, and it was everything we hoped for. The room was spacious, quiet, and beautifully designed, with a balcony overlooking the mountains and a perfect soaking tub for relaxing. We didn’t do any hiking — just enjoyed the scenery, the peace, and the amazing food. Dinner at the restaurant was excellent, and breakfast had a great variety of fresh, local items. The staff were warm and helpful without being intrusive. A perfect place to unplug and recharge. Highly recommend for a romantic escape.

There was a tennis event scheduled for that weekend. It made parking hard to find. People just parked wherever.

The whole hotel facility is carefully landscaped and quite beautiful, lots of thought went into the design of everything. Breakfast is very fresh and abundant. Great views of the mountain and its trails are within walking distance. Hotel restaurant was decent and had vegetarian and vegan options. We had a problem with ants crawling into our room while we were away but the hotel transferred us to a nicer room right away and everything else went smoothly. Lots of unique birds can be spotted in the hotel and surroundings.

You're somewhat expected to drive to places nearby, hotel doesn't offer a shuttle service (but people at the front desk will find you someone if you ask). Other than the trails, nothing else is within walking distance (the closest town is a 50 minute walk on the road) so you need to be extra prepared if you don't have a car. Hotel booked a wedding event and we had no warning, wasn't a huge deal but we had panoramic views and very clear sound of someone else's party, and the hotel restaurant was also reserved so we had to hire a driver to take us elsewhere.

Loved the Continental breakfast. It was an amazing spread of fresh bread and local fruits. Juices were freshly squeezed and moist scrambled eggs. I also liked the rustic decor, the pool had amazing views, ans the staff were all super friendly and accommodating even if I didn't speak too much Portuguese. The lakeside restaurant was amazing, food was super delicious and good value for money.

The fireplace in the breakfast room had a broken flue so all the smoke rose up into the room especially in the reception area upstairs. It was very smoky and caused discomfort as I tried to checkout. Maybe some mosquito nets on the windows would be nice as I got bitten. The shower was not so accessible for my mother in law, as it was too high for her to step through.

Super friendly staff, gave us all the attention and instructions to enjoy the little time we had in the hotel. We stayed a single night during the week and were able to enjoy a virtually private evening.

The decoration is rustic, so lots of wood furniture. Also, with the hotel being in the country side, you can expect a few small animals/insects visiting, like geckos, lady bugs, small spiders.

Great breakfast buffet in cozy indoor restaurant with two wood burning fireplaces or in the balcony, with sweeping views of nearby mountains. The hotel is in a privileged location at the foot of Pedra Azul. Many hiking trails closeby. Very clean, spacious room with high vaulted ceilings, double balconies, exquisite hardwood and beautiful rustic décor. Large bathroom. Very polite friendly staff, always striving to please the guests.

The shower/bathtub combination could be improved (I'd suggests separating shower from bathtub and/or eliminate or update the bathtub)
