The hotel is not Amazing like the pictures, but it is clean and well located, I can say it is good. The rooms are like 3* hotels, very basic! The swimming pool is between the 3 building so is not sunny there and is not deep enough for swimming. During my 9 days there I just saw 2 people there for short swim. The breakfast was the same everyday and after 9 am the food was not replaced, so you will not find there fruit, bread and too many items. And also just 1 lift for 6 floors and about 25 bedrooms per floor and when the lift is going up it not stop , for example if the lift is going to 6 floor (breakfast ) and you are in 4 floor waiting to go up, the lift will not stop, its go straight up to 6 floor even if it is not full. Imagine it in busy hours ( breakfast time) The staff is the best part of the hotel, they are very polite and helpful.

A very pleasant hotel run by Cape Verdeans, which is definitely a plus. The cleanliness around the pool area could be slightly improved. Breakfast was very good, although if you go towards the end of the service, some items may be missing. Location is great: 2 minutes walk to the ferry terminal and 6 minutes to the city center. We had an issue at the pool: the water suction vent pulled in my friend’s leg while she was naturally leaning against the edge enjoying the view, and she ended up with a large bruise. Another woman in the pool at the same time experienced the same problem, as it’s an area where anyone might rest during a swim. A warning sign or a repair is needed to avoid further accidents. Also, the hotel forgot to send the airport transfer to pick us up as arranged, but fortunately, the taxi was easy to find and inexpensive

This hotel is located at walking distance from the ferry to Santo Antao, If you need a bit of comfort and luxury, this is your place to stay. The hotel looks brand new, there is a chill out pool with bar on the roof terrace and another pool at the ground floor. But it is a hotel, you need to wear a bracelet and it felt like a resort to me. This accommodation is not really to be compared to the many guesthouses to be found in Mindelo. But if you look for something like a formal hotel, I can highly recommend the place. There was also a gym, a very nice breakfast in buffet style included, and I also received a free room upgrade upon arriving. The staff was formal but very friendly.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Hotel Ouril! The hotel is beautiful, clean and comfortable. It is a waterfront hotel, centrally located in Mindelo. Breakfast was included in my stay and it was delicious. They served their traditional dishes, along with a variety of fresh fruits and pastries. Far better than your typical American breakfast. The rooms were bigger than I expected....not your standard, small European size room. The staff was professional and pleasant. I would absolutely recommend Hotel Ouril.

There was some confussion on how many rooms I reserved, but it was quickly resolved. The staff handled it professionally.

Check in time was stated as 12 noon on booking.com. We had to wait over two hours to check in! The staff at the front desk informed us checkin was at 2pm. We waited along with other people who were told the same thing. At 2pm a crowd of people arrived and we were told we had to wait till they were checked in first. Very unacceptable considering we had reservations through booking.com, and had already waited two hours. After a fuss we were finally able to check in. This situation needs to be addressed, is check in time 12 or 2? Notify booking. Com or other sites that book this hotel what the correct check in time is.

This is standard 4-star hotel, with very attentive staff, spacious rooms, clean and efficient. Breakfast was outstanding, with the usual continental options with many local add-ons, including local fruit, goat cheese and cakes, and even "cachupa", the country's traditional dish. Breakfast is in a rooftop with a nice view of the bay, with a small swimming pool.

The architecture of the building makes any noise reverberate in the atrium where all windows lead to. A flaw of the design of the building. But not a big problem.

Nice view, nice pool specially the one on the 6th floor great location close to “laginha” beach, affordable price at least at time I was there and plenty of rooms, and the workers are friendly and kind ready to help you with just about any information.

The menu may need some improvement since it was just a printed out piece of paper no colors or pictures or perhaps adopt the QR code menu so customers can access the menu on their phones and while taking the shower the water goes all over the floor since there is nothing to keep the water on its designated space.

The food and service.

There was no written information in the room about prices for: laundry, food & beverages, towels for the pool. There was no information about TV channels some of which were not working properly and even though I informed the staff at the reception, nothing had changed when I returned to my room at the end of the night. Lastly, the towels although laundered were no longer white but, yellowish which made them seem dirty and old.

Let me start by saying it has a great location at the Marina, with modern facilities. Everything is within walking distance. The ferry is across the street if you want to visit Santo Antao. If you want to go to Baia, Santo Pedro, or Cahau, you can rent a car for a day or take a taxi—there are many ways to get around. You feel safe here, and security is 24/7. Front desk: Very welcoming. Lauren was very professional and very helpful. Thank you, Lauren, for accommodating us. The room had a great view—Liz Melicilo was exceptional. She was very professional, friendly, courteous, and helpful. I can't forget the one who did my checkout—thank you! Rooms: The room was lovely, comfortable, and very clean. Its interior design is thoughtful, beautiful, and cozy. It was very spacious for us and had stunning views. Valina( from Spia) was pleasant and kept our room spotless. We had a problem with the air conditioner, but it was immediately fixed. Suggestion: A coffee maker/tea condiments in the room. Breakfast: A full continental breakfast buffet style (cachupa, scramble, fried, and boiled eggs, bread/toast, cereals, fruits, ham, cheese, yogurt, etc.).The team (Suzi, Leila, Raquel, and the one with the glasses) are friendly, pleasant, and professional. They kept everything clean and worked well together. Suzi makes an excellent coffee. Restaurant: The drinks were great, and the food was good. It offered a good menu and service with terrace seating. The waitresses are amiable (especially the one who accommodated my extended family with table sitting on my last night; I know your boss gave you a hard time (I noticed it), but you kept your head up and didn't let it bother you- Thank you for all you did. I know how hard you ladies worked. Suggestion: Extending the Bar hours, especially on Friday and Saturday. Pool: Stunning views.

We had an extremely pleasant stay at Ouril Hotel due to the excellent staff, service, comfort, and location. I've already recommended it to friends!

The only suggestion we have is that the downstairs bar have longer hours, into the evening. It would have been nice to spend time there and have a drink when relaxing at the hotel after a day of exploring Mindelo. Otherwise, we loved everything about Ouril Hotel.
