The perfect location. All by itself on a long stretch of white sand. No adjacent hotels, and just a few private properties. The resort was maintained extremely well. A large crew cleaned and raked the beach section every day. Restaurant menu was varied with excellent options for our 7-day stay. We liked the Saturday night bbq on the beach. All staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The place was peaceful and quiet, no noisy music, no ski-doos or other watercraft. Price for a week's accommodation plus food/bar extremely reasonable.

Maybe the 2 1/2 hour drive on bumpy roads from POP to hotel. TV was not working too well. WIFI was spotty.

The location and the secluded nature of the property were absolutely stunning, offering a serene and relaxing environment. However, the highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the staff. They were exceptionally kind, attentive, and welcoming. Special thanks to Carolina and Ambrioris, who went above and beyond to make our experience unforgettable. Their warmth and professionalism truly made our stay memorable.

The lack of a gym was disappointing, and the provision of only two bottles of water per day felt insufficient. The food quality left much to be desired, and the additional charges for extras—such as ham at breakfast or a steep €100 fee for losing a key—gave the impression of a rip-off. It would be greatly appreciated if amenities like a gym were included, along with more reasonable policies and improved food standards.

Our experience at this hotel was overwhelmingly positive, thanks to the wonderful staff who went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. From the moment we arrived, Ambriori and Ruth made us feel welcome and well taken care of, and the rest of the team—Fernando, Carolina, and Danger—were equally exceptional. Unfortunately, our party did have one member who behaved poorly, and I am deeply embarrassed by how they treated the staff during dinner. Even though this individual was completely out of line, the hotel staff remained professional and gracious, continuing to provide excellent service despite the difficult situation. Their ability to remain calm and respectful, even when faced with a disruptive guest, was truly impressive and speaks volumes about their professionalism. I want to acknowledge how challenging it must have been for the staff to handle such behavior, and I deeply regret that any of them may have been put at risk due to this incident. They managed the situation with remarkable patience and grace, and we are incredibly grateful for their efforts. Aside from that, everything else about the hotel was wonderful—sparkling pool, beautiful beach, delicious food, and a festive atmosphere for the holiday season. Thank you for handling a difficult situation so well and for making our time here so enjoyable.

Amazing place. The reception guys were so great, the waiters at the restaurant of the hotel are very friendly. English speakers which is not that common in Dominican Republic. Food is nice and the hotel itself is like in the middle of paradise. Very private and chill. The rooms are very good and quiet. Would definitely recommend to stay here, fair price in my opinion for the stay and the services (Jakuzi and meals). They even have like a small garage and helped us with our car which had a problem. Amazing staff members and place. Thank you so much 🙏🏼🫶

Amazing service from start at reception, the bar, restaurant and waiting staff especially Jhon, Fernando and MIchell! Having travelled widely in Dominican Republic this hotel was one of the best I have visited both for attention to clients and service 1st class! Food was excellent, restaurant prices very good, the General Manager was onsite and very approachable. Bar and Restaurant prices were higher than outside the hotel but quality of food and cleanliness of the kitchen was excellent and far better than outside venues.

Absolutely Nothing could have been done to maker our experience any better! From the initial checkin to the minute we departed. We were treated exceptionally well by all staff, able to check out at the required time and still use the facilities for the remainder of the afternoon until we left at around 16:00. Punta Rucia Lodge beach amazing a little seaweed to be expected! 25yrs of visiting Ensenada and Punta Rucia this was by far the best experience we've had!

We spent 8 days here - in a blink of an eye! Even if a bit remote, this boutique hotel is unique and exclusive. The ultimate destination for relaxing. I recommend the bungalow 1 directly on the beach 🤩 Private beach, excellent helpful and kind staff (Victor, Michelle, John and Fernando thank you!). Amazing breakfast and cuisine. The barbecue on Saturday evening was magical. Will definitely come back!

The cost of transfer from airport is high.

Everything! We absolutely loved our stay (2 nights) at Punta Rucia. The lodges themselves are very comfortable (had the chance to switch to one with view on the sea). The beach is incredible: white sand, water is flat as a lake and blue as cristal, and the hotel offers different amenities to stay on the beach, in addition to the deck. The pool is located next to the bar and restaurants, giving you the possibility to eat with view on the pool and the beach and the sea. To summarise everything was perfect, we definitely recommend and will come again!

The only suggestion would be to make free drinkable water available to guests (note that, to be fair, 2 small bottles of water were added to the lodge fridges every day)

Staff, location, pool, beach and surroundings was amazing! Accommodation was very nice, food was also very ok.

They are keeping a rooster on their property which is screaming every night since 4:30 am for at least two hours which is unacceptable and I don't get this logic. It wakes me and my family up every night. Also the wooden floor around pool is very outdated and we got two big stitches in our feet. Which is also hell to pull out from a 3 years old child.

The property was easy to navigate, very clean and quiet.

The lodge we stayed could have used a bit more cleaning. Looks like is not continuously cleaned; like the bathroom area, the furniture, inside table where coffee pot rests and outside the lodge furniture. I did REALLY appreciate the bed was very clean, did not smell like anyone else has slept there.

It’s an amazing almost completely private resort in a niche area that is still not super touristy. The beach is uncontaminated and you are immersed in the nature.

Despite the resort looks beautiful and we had the best room, there were small thing that you would expect in such an accommodation like a cleaned beach (we cleaned ourselves our beds and we found cigarettes and plastics from previous occupiers).
