This is a wonderful stay on the blues route between Memphis and New Orleans. A beautiful property that has been lovingly restored and the owner is incredible - so friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the house and the wider history of the Mississippi Delta. We had no idea what to expect from this part of the US and after visiting the BB king museum (30 mins away - must visit!) and staying here, we feel we’ve discovered so much more history about the area that we wouldn’t have known otherwise. The owner does a talk at breakfast (delicious and home cooked) on the property and the MS Delta which is so interesting. Will recommend to anyone on this route.

A beautiful imposing property with a real wow factor. Such a lovely experience for one night. The host is so friendly and informative. Good breakfast. Lovely spacious comfortable room. Complimentary coffee :-) free parking. We would stay again in a heartbeat

The shower was very awkward because it's got a circular shower curtain and it was difficult to ensure no leakage and still access the taps. Impossible to change probably due to the age and nature of the building. Perhaps there are other rooms with a bath?

This was an absolutely amazing experience beyond my expecations. Drive into the drive way of the property and you are "gone with the wind". Extraordinary outside first impression, superb property filled with plenty of historical items, large and comfortable rooms. You really feel like being beamed back in history. The fast (and free) WIFI only recalls you, that you are in the 21st century. Very handy as I had to work. Brad is a great host taking the time to tell about the properties history. Very interesting exchange we had. And your egg soufflé was most enjoyable. Thank you for your hospitality. Was I to come to the area again, The Belmont 1857 would be the place to stay.

The Belmont 1857 was a unique experience for us, especially coming from the uk! The decor and furnishings are exquisite and of the era when the house was built. You felt as if you were ‘really there’! Bradley the owner couldn’t have been more gracious and was superb in explaining the history of the house and surrounding area. The breakfast was home cooked and beautifully presented in the gorgeously appointed dining room. The Belmont is not just a place to stay but a wonderful experience not to be missed.

The host, Bradley, at breakfast gave a history of the Belmont . Incredibly informative and engaging. Breakfast was brilliant - egg soufflé, healthy and delicious. The mansion is richly decorated - the furniture, the artefacts are simply incredible. We wished we had stayed longer. Hope to get back there one day. Thoroughly recommend anyone who is travelling through the region, you should definitely stay there a few nights. It was a great experience for us.

Wonderful original plantation house beautifully restored. Like staying in piece of history. Brilliant owner & host full of knowledge about house & horrors of the past.

Maybe an honesty bar as the house is quite isolated with nearest facilities a 15 minute drive away.

Wonderful historical property that looks just as good as the photos. Comfy bed, real quiet. Loved sitting on veranda listening to the crickets. Excellent breakfast too! Thanks to Brad for being a great host.

the beds were comfortable. the atmosphere was amazing. the historical perservation of the house was spot on . Bradley was very knowledgeable about the house and the history behind it. it was peaceful and relaxing . the breakfast was out of this world. take time to enjoy it

The house is an historical place absolutely well refurbished and the host Brad is very kind and nice. I recommend this place to whoever is gonna visit Mississippi cause the place is magically beautiful and the experience is absolutely worthing a trip.
