Amazing location right by the beach in the middle of the promenade. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Check-in times were extremely flexible as reception is open 24/7. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The big room with the large balcony overlooking the beach and sea was stunning, we loved the spacious room and the view. The hotel is also very pet-friendly!

Showering was a bit tricky since there was no shower door or curtain. It would be nice to have storage space/ surfaces in the bathroom. The hotel was pretty expensive (we paid almost 900€ for 3 nights + 112€ for city tax and breakfast.

This is a GREAT choice in beautiful historic building directly on ocean walkway with restaurants downstairs. Be aware during peak season parking is a nightmare but they allow you to park in front until you are able to find parking. We are VERY happy with our choice. Our room was small but there are larger rooms available! Be sure to upgrade your room or book lower floor for elderly because there is no elevator. This is the best choice in my opinion. Although breakfast ends early is was delicious!!

Walk up 4 stories with no bellman to help carry luggage. We were soo hot and sweaty carrying heavy luggage and worrying about parking at the same time was very stressful!

Christopher at the front desk was great. The property is , quite simply, the best located and placed for Etretat. Pay extra for the sea view, or even better the sea view with balcony - the room I stayed in. There is literally no sanity in staying here and booking anything else. I'd come back in a heartbeat. The attached restaurant and cafe is really good too.

Rooms were a tad dusty and could use a little more TLC. It got pretty chilly during our stay but it wasn't clear to me if the gas heater in the room actually worked. The jacuzzi and shower combo is kinda awkward and funny, but once you figure it out it's not bad. I'm tall so it wasn't ideal, but for that specific room I'd bathe in a bucket - it's that perfect.

Staff was extremely supportive of our very late arrival due to car issues. They really tried hard to work with us through language barriers (finding a member of staff who spoke English later in the evening due to our terrible French). The room was one of the smaller ones on the top floor but it was very nice, clean, comfortable and the view out the window was fantastic! Slept very well with the window open all night.

Having to pay for hourly parking after 9am at the public lot.

- Location - although Etretat is small, it is still nice to be so close to the beach - The staff was nice, smiling and helpful (ladies in the reception and the people dealing with the rooms) - Kettle in the room and a capsule coffee machine in a common area - Double pillows - Clean - Luggage storage - Village view was nice

- Stairs might be discomfortable for some people, for us it was all OK - The furniture did not have the "new" look but, again, it was all OK

The location is excellent, with the beach right outside and a relaxing view of the bay. There are multiple restaurants downstairs, and a large parking lot within about 2-minutes walk. The room and bathroom are relatively large and comfortable. The staffs are very flexible, they allowed us to bring the food back to room (resturant is very cold due to the heavy rain……

A tiny thing, the desk in the room is small.

Our room had the balcony and the view of the ocean and it was GORGEOUS. We loved the activity of the people on the beach below us for it was SO FRENCH to us.

We don't think anything could have been better. We had such a wonderful time and fell in love both with the hotel and with Etretat in general that we actually had previously planned to stay just one day and we ended up staying TWO! Thank you!

Very close to everything! Great spot to have a home base. It was easy to walk around the town and along the beach and cliffs, and still stop by the hotel if I needed a quick break. I wish I had sprung for a sea facing room because Etretat is absolutely beautiful! Loved my room city view though, and the room is very cozy. They keep a kettle in there which is a nice touch.

Staying at the Hotel Le Rayon Vert felt like travelling back in time (in a good way). The location -- right on the beach, a short walk from the cliffs -- could not be more central, but our town-facing room was quiet at night. We especially appreciated the friendly, accommodating staff and the attention to sustainability.

Would not recommend for someone with mobility issues, as each room requires stairs (in our case three flights).

Breakfast was very good for a continental breakfast. A good selection of food and drinks available and very attentive staff. Our room had a balcony with a sea view and the proximity to the sea allowed us to listen to the waves crashing on to the beach throughout the night. It was very pleasant.

There was nowhere to hang up our wet coats after being out in the rain. We didn't want to put them in the wardrobe!
