We stayed here at the start of our trip and also last day. Both stays were very good Lovely rooms, nice and spacious. Very comfortable beds. Good location for lovely sea breezes. Beautiful lobby and lovely helpful staff. Arranged a tour guide for us, the amazing Johnny, and also a taxi another day. Lovely grounds and gardens. Would be good if someone could rake the beach area every morning and afternoon. Put a few tables and chairs out, an umbrella or two. It would be a lovely place to sit. Especially late afternoon with a cold drink and some snacks.

Despite a delayed arrival (one day), the hotel kept my reservation but did not charge me for the missed stay (I informed them the same day due to my cancelled flight) and I much appreciated the gesture. 2nd stay there and always nice personnel. The Japanese restaurant is a real bonus.

There should be a complimentary bottle of water upon arrival, that is the minimum for a hotel of this class. The management should consider refurbishing the old aisle, as they did with the other one.

Clean and comfortable, central location, seaview, very nice and friendly staff. Good A/C. Good bed. Large room.

There is no lift, and the wooden staircase to go upstairs would need some cleaning/dusting/fresh paint. Likewise the shower has seen better days, and would need refurbishing.

Clean and tidy, good location close to everything, airport shuttle avaliable when you need it. Very helpful Hotel staff.

I would not recommend going to the inhouse Japanese restaurant. One of the waitresses was very rude never smiled at anyone and had a really bad attitude. Our food although delicious, the main meals came out at different times, almost an hour between dishes.

The driver of the airport shuttle is dangerous. Drives far to fast without regard for the safety of his passengers or other road users. If I stay at Mendana again I will use a taxi. Please insist that he drives responsibility or get another driver.

I loved my room. The restaurant was exceptional. Breakfast and dinner options were extremely good and the food was cooked to perfection. Major compliments to the chef.

Low personality level from most of the staff. The only smiles I got were in the restaurant and not many of them. The check in and check out staff were not personable at all. Zero smiles.

Stayed in the renovated wing. Good room, comfortable and clean. Definitely, the must is the Japanese restaurant. the other restaurant is fine too.

For the price paid: one complementary bottle of water would have been appreciated as well as an included breakfast.

Main restaurant menu I thought could have had daily variations instead it never changed the whole time we were there. In saying that we enjoyed exploring the town to eat out where we could.

I was satisfied with the buffet breakfast that was provided. Minor improvements such as timely refill of food/drinks when they run out.
