I am definitely staying here everytime I visit Dakar. The staff was incredible, friendly and available to help with just about anything. A very big shout out and Thank you, to Thérèse at reception. She really went above and beyond. And the best part? The food!!! I absolutely enjoyed everything I ate. 5 stars.

It was a little noisy on the weekend but the rooms are so comfortable you hardly notice. And I think I only heard music because my room was closest to the restaurant/club area.

Boma is a beautifully designed artisan lifestyle hotel. Every aspect of Boma has been carefully designed and it helps to create a tropical oasis in the centre of Almadies. The rooms are based in detached bungalows and are moderately sized. Each room contains a walk in shower with a separate toilet. The rooms have a fridge, Tv, AC, kettle and an iron. The Bungalow rooms have 4 post beds with a comfortable mattress and come with a mosquito nets. The bungalows are located a short walk from the main reception and restaurant areas. The main restaurant was also beautifully designed with flowers, art work and natural objects which all help create a peaceful and tropical ambiance. The food in the restaurant was very nice and the staff across the hotel were nice, friendly and helpful.

The hotel has a small gym but it does have the basic equipment required to work out. The rooms do not include any of the restaurant food and this is all separate which I believe for the price should have breakfast included. The WiFi in bungalow 25 was very patchy and did not work properly for the duration of the stay.

Loved the location, partially because I've been around this area before and I like it. Not too far into the centre, near Ngor beach /island, and less busy than the centre. Staff are super friendly and very accommodating which was especially important as I'd gotten sick earlier on our trip and struggled with eating so always had special requests.. Food is very nice btw. Loved the restaurant setting too. I'm big on interiors so as shallow as it may sound I was very happy with my surroundings. Room was nice, super comfy bed, mosquito nets and nets on the windows. Oh and they have their own mosquito repellent which worked better than ours. Loved the shower too.

Only thing i didn't like was someone had left the windows open when we arrived so we had lots of mosquitos in the room, but I'm not sure you can hold this against the hotel as it could've been a previous guest and i didn't notice what happened, my friend did. Saying that, there are mosquito nets so once in bed you're fine. Also apparently there wasn't a malaria risk luckily. Apart from this minor blip.. Can't think of anything I didn't like.

So close to Dakar yet far enough to come to a little "refuge". The bungalows are spacious and comfortable and I like the eco approach. I also like the a la carte breakfast options. In general the food in the restaurant was very good and inventive. I also appreciated the wifi, not to be taken for granted here. I especially appreciated the friendliness and professionalism of all the staff, from reception, food & beverage, housekeeping, gardeners.

Excellent staff always open to accommodate every request. Very nice restaurant, always open and with availability to sit down, and a great choice of food and drink on the menu. Quiet rooms immersed in gorgeous nature, despite the location of the hotel being in a chaotic, busy area of Dakar. The possibility to also enjoy night life at the hotel on the weekend, thanks to many initiatives (live music, painting events, club)

Wonderful oasis in the heart of Dakar. Great atmosphere, music scene and pool area. Modern African-style vibe and decoration, with a lot of art. Truly kind staff (Dieng and Die at the reception as well as the restaurant waitresses). Lovely rooms with private terrace and well-kept garden. Nice details and attention for guests, like the complimentary products by Nyara and the snacks in the room. Perfect size hotel.

As someone who cares about socially responsible tourism, I had the impression that staff were working extraordinarily long shifts.

The staff were amazing. I truly can't fault any of them, from the gardener to the guys at the restaurant they were all very polite and friendly. The room was very nice and generally the ambience of the hotel is calm and relaxing.

I wasn't allowed to have my son in the pool after 12pm which I think it is a silly rule especially because I was the only person in the pool the 3 days I was there. To reach the hotel you have to go up 10 steps and then down another 10 which wouldn't be a problem if I didn't have a buggy. The club was next to the restaurant/bar which was forbidding us to stay till late for drinks as the loud music was waking up our son.

It’s beautiful with lots of trees everywhere. The rooms are well appointed and everything is of high quality. Small thoughtful touches make the space truly special. the staff are kind and helpful and the ones at reception speak English.

The WiFi in my room failed on my last day, and there were a lot of flies at breakfast on my first morning. However this was fixed as they weren’t there on the second day.

An oasis in the middle of a bustling city of Dakar, just what the doctor ordered. I would have loved to stay here for a weekend. The service from security to reception is excellent. Thank you to the lady at reception; Clementine for guidance with taxis (and how to use to YANGO) and restaurant logistics.

I would have loved a comfortable couch in my room. Breakfast service could be better (with flexibility and choices), especially for a business person who is not on vacation.

We visited Boma in the hottest month and I was very impressed the air con worked consistently throughout, very minimal power outages and very good wifi!

Some of the evening events were slightly louder than I would have liked when I was trying to get sleep but I think this was only because our bungalow was very close to reception and restaurant. However this was a very minor issue.
