Clean and well maintained. Very tranquil. Booking rooms with a higher amount offer better value for money.

The shower in room 10 is contemporary to the extent that there is no shower door. You need to be very mindful when taking a shower as the water spills out into the floor. The taps need adjusting , there water is either very hot or very cold. The tap does not adjust properly between hot and cold water

The lodge brings tranquility, the restaurant on site cooks very good meals with a great menu. The security and reception ladies are friendly and welcoming.

Booked the king room, room 23. This is in the wooden/prefab structure. The room is upstairs. We could hear everything happening in other rooms. This is the only thing we didn’t like about the section/king room we booked.

We stopped for the night after spending 6 hours on the road. This was the perfect oasis. We were met by a friendly host, Anele, who gave us all the information that we needed to know. The security guard was also just as friendly. He showed us to our room and even reminded us about some of the facilities in the room that can help keep us warm. The beds are the first I have ever experienced in my years of traveling. Warm beds!!!!!!!!!!!! This aside from the hospitality, topped everything. Especially on a very cold night when you’re with kids. This was an amazing feature of the hotel. Definitely puts it on another level. It truly made our overnight stay memorable. The staff, food as well as service at the outside restaurant/grill was just as amazing. Such a great establishment. The Lodge as well the resaurant/grill is very family friendly. The perfect stop after a long trip. Definitely a lot to look forward to.

No WiFi code in the rooms. But also it’s not a deal breaker.

The location of the lodge, once you pass the bridge all you see is the lodge and its calls you to come stay in. The rooms were also super spacious and comfortable for my wife and myself. Definitely a my favorite lodge in Aliwal.

The construction work that started at 5am. I definitely understand they are there to get the job done and meet their deadline. All i just wish they were was to be considerate that they are not at an empty resort so they can speak as loud as they can.

Location to where we were going was perfect... Room nice..... Food at grill house nice and affordable

When i booked i mentioned check out at 17hoo for 18hoo....but we had a bus situation now still stuck here on day if check out called reception to check out at 13hoo at that point had forgotten about my requst when making booking which was confirmed. Reception sounded hesitant and still waiting to hear from housekeeping supervisor if we can even check out then. Working in a hotel myself i know how frustrated guests get when their travel plans change.. They disrupt the flow of the shift from reception to housekeeping but try make it a sense of urgency if ure not keeping to booking arrangements

The stuff were so helpful we were there for my mom and brothers funeral. And we booked a few rooms for our guests that were also attending the funeral. The reception stuff were so kind and helpful with the bookings nothing was too much trouble for them. I wish I remembered the names. The cleaning lady as well she was so helpful. We struggled with the gate she went to get a technician to assist while she was busy cleaning that was so kind. Breakfast was too good.

Liked everything there was nothing not to like.

The accommodation was good, I'm satisfied I don't want to lie. I will come back again.

The food was not what I expected... No price for value.. The omelet I ordererd was so disappointing, I expected some traditional omelet, with a bit of substance.. The milkshake was good but I didn't finish because I was turned off by the food.

The staff were approachable upon arrival and provided clear directions. The lodge was conveniently placed next to a food establishment and petrol station. The room was neat, clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

We needed to fill the kettle with shower water as the basin tap was crammed.

The reception was excellent. The gate guard took us to our room which was spacious, and the bathroom facilities was great

I expected more from the Restaurant. No waiters to assist and you had to go to the bar if you want to place your order.

Super friendly staff, great accommodation for a one night stopover. The burgers were great but pizza’s terrible. All in all a great stay though. Bonus was a Vida coffee at the filling station on the way out the next morning
