We had a lovely stay and our room appeared to be newly furbished - clean neat and brand new. We enjoyed the outside space under the rees for our morning coffee. The Inn has a lorge well kept garden and swimming pool which is essential in the hot summer months. Thank you to the staff and manager - we will be back should we travel through Aliwal North again.

The bathroom was beautifully renovated, but the shower may be improved with a small step to keep the water inside. Otherwise we had no complaints.

Location. Grounds are lovely for walking round.

we specifically book places that serve an evening meal when we are travelling but when we arrived we found that we were the only guests so no staff other than the manager there. He did recommend a pub / restaurant nearby which did have excellent food.

Friendly staff, very clean and well kept. Beautiful scenery and picnic spots.

Very peaceful location but we had noisy neighbours - although not Umtalis fault.

The inn is located in large well-kept gounds on the outskirts of Aliwal North. Undercover parking was close to the room. Reception made us feel welcome and at home. Staff were friendly, the bedroom comfortable, and the dinner and breakfast of good quality. Everything worked well.

Can't think of anything that could have been better. In relation to its price it was a good deal. Its location relative to the town of Aliwal North is ideal, because the town itself is showing signs of inept municipal management.

Great little spot in Aliwal North, probably the best accommodation around the area. Staff was very friendly and the breakfast was really good. Rooms are clean and neat with excellent linnen.

Shower pressure is very low and takes long to heat up.

Sound proof between rooms not good, maybe insulation in the roof might help.

The room was really cosy and warm despite the unusually cold weather. Dinner was very tasty and breakfast excellent

The manager met us very friendly, and he arranged supper for just the two of us! The room was newly renovated and impressive.

All went well.

Cleanliness, comfortable bed and room in a peaceful environment. Centrally located, yet private. Excellent ambiance and safe.
