Spacious rooms and good sized bathroom. Clean linnen and old world charm.
The room is on a busy street....very noisy for me. Difficult to sleep. The fridge in the room was a wine cooler....did not make our water cold. No shower gel in the shower....was empty. The breakfast was super expensive at R160.per person. Compared to other places and based on what I had here before..... Other places have a set price closer to R120 and then you can eat what you like as much as you like buffet style. We were told that if we had a omlet we have to pay extra if we want a sausage. A ommelet with bacon and cheese and a juice with greek yojurt does not add up to R160

I had an exceptional experience at Old House. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Elize was friendly, professional, and attentive to every detail. The room was spotless, the amenities were top-notch, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Whether it was a quick request or a special arrangement, nothing ever felt like too much trouble. I genuinely felt cared for during my stay. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway.

The breakfast was great, we didn't even have time to sit down for it because we were rushing for a funeral but the ladies there were kind enough to pack it up for us as take away. The staff was absolutely friendly and very welcoming.
Apart from them not having a backup power during long shedding everything else was to our liking. They did explain though that they are working on it so maybe next time we are in Beaufort west that will be sorted.

We booked last minute as we were already in Beaufort West, and upon our arrival at the guesthouse, the reception was expecting us and our room was ready. The check-in process went smoothly. The house itself is beautiful, with stylish decoration throughout. The staff was friendly, and we ordered dinner for the evening. We opted for the traditional lamb chops, a must-try when in the Karoo region. We parked our car on the premises behind a secure wall and gate, which provided peace of mind. Our room was spacious and clean. We even had enough time to visit the Christiaan Barnard Museum, which was only one block away on the main road. We had such a good sleep that we overslept the next morning and ended up leaving the accommodation an hour later than planned. I highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone looking for a comfortable stopover on the N1."
Everything was great, and if they are looking to improve anything, I would recommend adding another showerhead; the one in the room functions, but it is old-fashioned.

The Lodge is very nice. It has an old type of hotel feeling, with the rooms inside. The room was quaint and very clean and tidy. The staff waited for our delayed arrival and are very friendly and helpful. The dining area is lovely and coffee great.
Perhaps stating more clearly that the room is within a house, old school hotel feeling, and that you don't have your own private entrance or private outside area, as the rooms are within the Old House.

The staff went out of their way to help us. They even served us (group of 10) supper on short notice. There were here and there thinks not working (one room's TV did not work and another room did not have a kettle), but over all the rooms were very nice and comfortable. It was like an oasis in the dessert.
Except for the TV not working in the one room and the Kettle not in the other room, there was nothing that we did not like.

I have to say the lady who was helping us checkin was so sweet. We were travelling and at last minute discussed to sleep over at Beaufortwest and we arrived after 10pm and the lady helping us was sweet enough to wait for us to arrive so we could check in. Our experience literally saved my sanity 🥹 it was a long day on the road and her hospitality was everything

We enjoyed the beautiful bathroom, the cosy bed, and the option of adding an additional bed(sleeper couch) that we were catered for without any trouble. Beautiful, safe, hospitable, and not to mention the peaceful atmosphere it carries. It is also absolutely child friendly, with a helpful and kind staff.
I could only truly think of one thing, and it is that there was no coffee in the rooms. Otherwise, there's nothing else to really complain about. Thank you

We stayed overnight one night. The guest house is really beautiful and smart looking on the inside and outside. The garden is lovely and my wife and I had a glass of wine at a table in the garden. One of the few places with a pool. The dinner and breakfast was delicious and they even organised a malva pudding for me.
Nothing really.

Peaceful garden with pool. Location is perfect, close to the main road so we didn't have to go far from our route. Area appears safe so we were able to go for a long walk around Beaufort West from there.
Dinner was disappointing. Chips were cold and felt like they had been precooked and heated in the microwave and then allowed to cool. Poor wine selection.
