Springbok Lodge is simply perfect. Tents are comfortable and well equipped with every luxury you could ask for. The food and service at the lodge is brilliant and nothing is too much trouble for the staff. Highlight of the experience is the game drives - our ranger, Beth, was so knowledgable, interesting and kind. We were travelling with a 6 year old and an 8 year old and he was great with them - answering their 1000 questions over and over and over again. He was an absolute credit to Springbok.
We had an issue with the geyser and hot water to our tent. Within half a day, the facilities team had replaced a brand new geyser and we had hot water sorted. Excellent response!

The game drives were incredible and we saw all the animals we wanted to. It was lovely to see so many animals all very healthy. The big 5 Elephants, Rhino (both black and white), Buffalo and lions (male and female) as well as a cheetah were all magnificent. The cheetah came close to the vehicle walking down the road like a model along the walkway. It was cold so was lovely that the room was heated up and the electric blankets were switched on for us while we were having dinner so we came back to a lovely warm room. It was our daughter's birthday and they left a gift for her next to her bed. She had balloons above the table at dinner time lights on the table with serviettes shaped like ostriches. They also sang and danced and also made a special birthday desert for her. All the little extras all added up to so much. The dinner around a fire within the boma was a lovely experience and the soup and potjiekos varieties were delicious. Our daughter did not like any of the food so they specially made chicken nuggets with chips which were delicious for her.
The children's pizza was not up to standard. When we left they made a mistake with our bill. I had booked through Booking.com and this allowed for a 10% discount which was not acknowledged. They had also overcharged on the bar bill and charged for a bottle of wine instead of a glass. They acknowledged the mistake and refunded the amounts.

We had a wonderful stay at springbok lodge , did a total of four game drives with Angelique who was super knowledgeable and exceptionally lovely . We saw so many animals , four of the big five ! and learnt so much about them too . At each drive you get a coffee and cake break or beer ( you get to choose !) and snacks in the evening drive . Morning drives can be quite chilly so wrap up ( we were there in July so winter time) Booked a massage at the lodge too which is highly recommended as being bumped around six hours a day takes its toll ! Amazing accommodation the most luxurious camping I’ve ever experienced. The food was great and they catered for me being gluten intolerant with no problem at all. All in all a super lovely stay 🤩

The Guides provide personalised care. I wanted to see Cats and David, our Guide made that happen. The resort management catered for my dietary requirements and were able to provide accommodation close to each other for our group. Good directions. From start to end, everything was organised professionally and to a very high standard.
Very little activities to do on the resort except for game drives. An entertainment centre would be nice. Other activities such as Archery, Segway, etc would be perfect.

We received a very warm welcome and the picnic lunch out on the lawn was excellent. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and the outdoor shower was an added treat. Both dinner and breakfast were most delicious. It was my daughter's birthday and she was made to feel very special with a gift and card left in her room as well as a candlelit bubble bath being prepared for her after dinner. A really much appreciated special touch. 2 game drives were included in the price and we did see a large number and variety of game.
The roads in the reserve were very challenging following heavy rains, so the game drives were not the most comfortable. It would have been appreciated if the guide on our game drives had shared more information with regard to the flora and fauna in the area. I am not sure if this was down to a lack of experience and/or knowledge.

A great lodge in the Nambiti reserve. From the park entry gate, it is a short, easy drive once you get picked up by your guide. I really enjoyed staying in the tents that were well equipped and comfortable. The lodge itself was amazing, such an ideallic place that was so relaxing. The pool was clean and a cool place to swim on the hot days. All the food and meals served were absolutely fantastic, and the staff were pleasant and friendly. We saw a lot of animals and had an awesome experience with the Ndlovus (Elephants).

Everything about this property was phenomenal, exceptional hospitality from all the staff, food was delicious and we ate like kings! The game drives were by far the best part, managed to see 4 of the Big 5. Beth was absolutely fantastic. Not seeing a Leopard was a little sad but it just means I have to come back. Worth every penny!
Quite literally nothing

Our stay was fantastic. Our room was lovely and the electric blanket that was turned on before we went to bed made it very comfortable during winter. The food was excellent, Our guide was friendly and incredibly knowledgable. He made all our game drives very interesting. It was a wonderful weekend and I would definitely return.
The only small complaint is that the breakfast should have more of a variety.. The breakfast choices were almost the same everyday.

Clean, comfortable and well appointed tented accommodation. Close walking distance to reception, bar, dining room, lounge and swimming pool. Very knowledgeable guides, friendly, great sense of humour and game drives were brilliant. Unfortunately our bath plug was broken and couldn't be fixed during our stay and we only had options of showering with hand shower or using outdoor shower.

Nambiti is a fantastic Big 5 private game reserve between Johannesburg and Durban. It’s situated near the battlefields of the Anglo-Zulu wars. This was our second stay at Springbok Lodge in a year. From the start to finish, it was a lovely stay… the welcome, the stay and departure was personalised and hospitable. Mlu our ranger is really passionate about the wildlife. Staff are very helpful and friendly, take pride in their work and food was good. We were in luck with our sightings and experiences of the wildlife. Our stay was excellent and we will return!
