Exceptional Stay at Maclear Manor! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I recently had the pleasure of staying at Maclear Manor, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by the friendly and attentive hosts, who went out of their way to make our stay comfortable. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and well-equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep. The attention to detail, from the cozy decor to the little extras like complimentary coffee and rusks, really made a difference. The tranquil garden and peaceful surroundings added to the charm of the guesthouse, making it a perfect stopover or getaway spot. I highly recommend Maclear Manor to anyone looking for quality accommodation with top-notch hospitality. We will definitely be back!

Everything was perfect.

The manor is very comfortable and quiet. Our room was very well sized and had wonderful amenities. Lots of thought went into makeing sure everything little thing was provided. The bed was really comfy and cozy. The electric blanket was a win! The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. The breakfast was an absolute delight - wonderful options and really great care went into our meal and the lovely setting of the dining room. Was a total spoil! Superb value for money! We also loved all the quirky art and signs around the house. The guest parking is also excellent - safe, secure, out the way and with cameras. Access was easy and simple! Dawn was absolutely delightful, kind, helpful and lovely!!!

I could not fault anything about our stay.

It was worth waiting for breakfast (only served from 8.30 on weekends). The little touches were very sweet and it was very filling. Loved the fire in the 2nd dining room because of the snow! Although Maclear had a power cut the night we were there, the generator kept the electric blankets on long enough to warm the beds, and the wonderful duvets kept us snug and warm. Our room was very spacious (up some stairs) and we had a beautiful view of the snow covered village from the balcony. It felt like being in a fairy tale. The host recommended the Ranch for dinner which was fabulous. Great food and prices. Friendly service. We appreciated the recommendation. We were grateful for the under cover (secure) parking because of the snow, which made unpacking and packing the car so much easier.

The host doesn't stay on the property which was problematic when the lights went out as no one knew how to switch on the generator. When it ran out of fuel, in the morning we had no hot water for coffee or showers.

This place was ideal for me, and my dogs. Private garden fenced to keep them safe. The room was huge and spotless. Lovely small welcome gift, towel decorations and truly a wonderful quiet and safe B&B. Will definitely be back. Dawn was so accommodating, as I was supposed to arrive at 5pm, but traffic delays meant I only arrive in the dark at 8pm, and Dawn was so happy and pleasant about it. Thank you Dawn, you are an amazing person.

No improvements, it was brilliant.

Dawn and her staff were exceptional. The facilities, comfortable and clean. The little touches of detail just exceptional, from the towels folded as elephants, the little caraffe of sherry and the cute notes on the walls, as well as the small emergency kit. Thank you for your special service when we arrived so late and tired. The breakfast was very well prepared, and also, the detail to the plating added that extra touch. The view is breathtaking too.

Booking.com gave us misleading information, and thinking we got discount plus Breakfast included, I unexpectedly had to pay a bit extra, it was just a bit disappointing.

An exquisite manor house tucked away in the little inland town of Mac Clear. A great place to stop over before the long trip through the Eastern Cape. Lovely friendly host who was very concerned with our welfare and comfort.

Only the area of the town was a little disconcerting for a city dweller. But we were safe and comfortable and everyone we met was friendly and offered good service.

I particularly enjoyed the outdoor area, which provided a welcome escape from the intense heat of the night. It was a great place to unwind and enjoy some coolness.

I found the wifi connectivity to be quite challenging during my stay. It was difficult to find a reliable signal, and I believe there is room for improvement in this aspect. Enhancing the wifi experience would greatly contribute to the overall satisfaction of guests.

The place was nice, clean, and secure.

I had a problem either with the Booking.com App or Maclear Manor. When I look for a place to stay using your App. I use as a filter: Wi-Fi Free Parking And Breakfast Included Doing this, in Maclear, for the time I require, there were only two places available. I made the booking only to be told by Maclear Manor that my booking did not include breakfast. Please look into this?

Clean, large comfortable room, all the things you need, including iron, hairdryer and sewing kit. Secure parking. Great staff and breakfast.

Water pump was right outside our room which was a little noisy. The back room we were in suffers from some road noise.

Loved the fridge and microwave in the room, with plates and cutlery. The lovely welcome from Dawn. We had everything we could have wanted.

The pump for the water came on every few minutes, day and night. Also dogs barking.
