Great hospitality, peaceful environment, and good food.

We didn't know taps were going to be switched off at a certain hour. It did say the area may have water restrictions, but communication is essential as to what happens due to restrictions. Notice could be sent timeously. Bar stock of champagne or sparkling beverages to bring in the new year were depleted at the restaurant, even though acres of vineyards surround us. No stock. Could've told us before arrival.

Breakfast was great with a number of options available ranging from cereals, fruit and the standard English breakfast. However dinner was not always great with only two choices available on the first evening.

The dinner on the first evening had a choice of chicken pot pie or Steak, the chicken pot pie was chosen and was completely dry inside and therefore not very tasty, the dinners if you included desert was over priced for what you got.

Hospitality and the caring was amazing. The manager even gave me medicine for my cold. All my issues was dealt with immediately. I will certainly stay there again. The gardens was manicured well. Waking up with the sound of birds was very special.

One can see the place is very popular and that some people find the need to brake things, forcing constant maintenance.

The management was fantastic, the staff were exceptional, the whole venue was superb, the meals were amazing, the rooms were very comfortable, the entire experience way exceeded our expectations. One of our party fell ill and Stefan and Liezel went out of their way to get medication and provide assistance, the staff were exceptionally helpful with our sick traveller as well.

A beautiful venue with amazing views and friendly staff. Very quiet, respectable noise levels and very clean.

Some battery/solar operated lights would be helpful during loadshedding. Also, the cold water pressure in our room (Vrykamer) was not right and ended in very hot showers.

A nice and calm place in an old farm, we had a nice room with a rustic appeal, and a beautiful outdoorspace, great view, a very nice host and superfriendly staff.

It was all good, but the breakfast could be a little better

The staff were amazing. there are various units close to the vineyards. it’s comfortable and relaxing

the Jacuzzi was not operational. I think it like many things could be due to load shedding. The farm is a distance from the town which could be a good and bad thing.

We (including our dog) loved every moment of our stay. Cannot fault anything during our stay. Views for days, comfy room and bed, room facilities are great, loved the swimming pool, friendly staff. Will stay here again in a heartbeat.

Beauty location and absolute fantastic staff. we loved our stay and enjoyed the wonderful hospitality. Our 2 dogs couldn’t get enough of the big garden, sniffing and playing around the whole day!

Upon arrival, we were greeted by the most fabulous host, Stefan. Stefan went above and beyond, keeping brilliant communication going and nothing was too much effort for Melkboomsdrift. We loved absolutely everything about this place and would return in a heartbeat! The swimming pool, restaurant (breakfast and dinner), rooms and facilities are beautiful and tastefully decorated. We booked rooms 3-5, and every single one of them was impeccable and comfortable. Malcolm (waiter and barman) is so friendly and welcoming!
