We did not have breakfast, but the location was great and to get to the guesthouse was very easy. Our room was very comfortable and spacious. A big plus is the very nice winter flatsheet on the bed. A big thank you to Cindy for all the help, friendliness and warm welcome.This is definitely a very good place for a sleepover when traveling on the N1.

Although there is an aircon in the room, an electric blanket or warm water bottle for the bed can be a big plus, especially during winter time. Otherwise no other negatives.

we did not have breakfast, however the service was absolutely fantastic. the lady who met us at the guesthouse (so sorry i forgot her name) was extremely friendly and went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. she offered us a different room than what we originally booked and it was actually a better room situated on the ground floor. she brought us some milk for our coffee and gave us her business card should we need anything at any time. thank you for your kindness. . on 3 March 2024 we are in Winburg again and will be sleeping at Bougain Villa again. aneke vorster

everything was perfect - room was clean and neat.

Professional and friendly staff members quickly sorted out the booking in. Although I arrived late due to unforeseen incidents on that trip. The room were spacious, and the A/C were a blessing on this cold night. The off-street secure parking was good to give pease of mind. I will absolutely stay here again in the future.

Cindy, the front office manager, was exceptional - friendly, helpful and went out of her way to ensure our needs were taken care of to the best of her ability. The room was comfortable and we appreciated the good bed linen.

No free wifi. The rate paid in our view should have included it, especially as the guest house is located to attract road travel stop overs and virtually every guest house we have stayed at now offers it as a matter of course. The breakfast served was good but at R90.00 each, filter coffee should be part of the offering, rather than help yourself instant coffee.

We loved our stay at Bougain Villa guesthouse, Cindy is an awesome host, very welcoming and friendly. The room had beautiful decor and all the necessities for an overnight stay. We used the outside tables at the braai area, which was nice and quiet for our quick takeaway dinner. The guesthouse also has a very convenient key box, that we used for our early morning departure.

I really enjoyed the stay, although I wasn't there for long. I really enjoyed the friendly staff. They were very helpful even though I arrived much later in the evening. They offered to carry my luggage up the stairs. I had to leave early the next morning for Pretoria I did not have an opportunity for breakfast.

My room had a slight problem with the shower plumbing but nothing that made they stay worse.

We were made to feel welcome and they made sure all our needs were met and accommodated us comfortably. We brought our own dinner and they allowed us to use the dining facility for dinner with no problem at all. Thanks to Cindy.

It was really lovely and super comfortable bed. We didn't have breakfast. Winburg is very delapidated and know restaurants etc. But we didnt really mind as it was just a stop over to break our trip.

Cleanliness Friendly Staff Better breakfast though they don't serve cereal

To pay R900 for breakfast and you don't get cereal. The bathroom face washing basin plug is not working, it stuck in while there's dirty water in. The mattress was too soft. My advice would be to do benchmark with other guesthouses for more exposure

It would have been good if a light meal could be offered- sandwich or pie. We were tired from the drive and didn't want to go out again. Matrass too soft and bed creaks when you move
