Absolutely a gem of a hotel. Beautifully designed and tastefully modernised. We were able to park at no cost in their open car park in front. Beds were comfortable. We ate one time in their restaurant and found it good value for money.

There was a local issue which the hotel didn't appear to recognise. Until the early hours of the morning, there was an annoying low-level noise of music coming from somewhere (a deep, rhythmic, techno-style sound) - which kept me awake for several hours. Otherwise a very enjoyable stay.

An unrecognised jewel in the crown of inland Jaen. Dare I say it was better than most paradors. The restaurant excelled in both decoration, atmosphere and quality of food. In fact the food deserves special mention. I would argue the quality equals Michelin standards. Many, many special corners, nooks and crannies to be explored in the building. History abounds. Simply a wonderful, memorable stay and we look forward to returning soon.

The 'only' minus was the bedroom balcony. But space was exceptionally used throughout, which left some balconies without view, or much space. However, this really is nit picking and certainly not worth marking the hotel down on. It won't stop me from returning.

Breakfast was not included in the price which was a bit dissapointing for the amount paid. Beautiful Hotel in a very odd location. Staff are very friendly but not strong on English Rooms were a good size but the furnishings very dark which made them look a lot smaller.

Lovely old building and well restored. Bedroom was big, classy and very quiet. Staff were very helpful. Secure parking in the garage was worth it as we had a car full of stuff heading south.

Couple of strange things. Breakfast had a large selection of cakes etc, but even all the yoghurt turned out to be sweet. Vanilla yoghurt was custard, another was creme caramel and the natural yoghurt was sweetened. A real sugar fest that didn't really suit us. Second strange thing was no bar. We were offered a table in the corner of the smart restaurant, but that was just bizarre. Had to go out looking for a local bar. It's not as though they're short of space.

Fran! the manager was amazing! patient, helpful and cheerful, he is a huge attribute to the hotel and excellent in customer service. The room he gave me was beautiful, peaceful, large and I slept very well. I had room service, the food was quite good. The property itself is lovely and heritage; I am sure the history is very interesting. I was not expecting that quality to the price ratio. The value was amazing.

When entering the town of Mengibar, I would never in one hundred years think this hotel existed inside. It is not a beautiful town. Location is the only thing I didn't like. If I am being fussy, I also did not like the bread provided with the meal, it was not well matched with the food.

I liked Luis the restaurant manager. Amazing guy. Everyone else was super nice. The hotel is more of a destination than part of a greater visit.

Not much to do in Mengibar but the hotel is amazing. Facility could be a bit noisy from the stone but it didn’t help that while we were there, there was a wedding with many young guests.

The Building and facilities. Outstanding Spa and the food in the restaurant was great. Really good as my daughter is Celiac and she enjoed good food for launch and dinner.

Improvement on the quality and overall selection of the breakfast. for me it fail short of the expectations in particular with the hot food.

Lovely hotel in a beautiful building. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable. The restaurant served excellent food at very reasonable prices. It had on-site parking for free outside, and paid parking under cover. Nearby you can do a tour of an Olive Oil factory which was interesting.

There was a nice terrace which would have been ideal for a relaxing drink when we arrived, but there was no bar service until late evening (c. 8.30pm). The town doesn't have much on offer - the hotel is the nicest part! But it was perfect for a stopover to break up a long journey.

Lovely, comfortable hotel. Owners and staff have made a huge effort to create something special and different in this small town. Restaurant was very good. Luis, in particular goes out of his way to advise on dishes and food is presented beautifully and was of a really good standard. Value for accommodation and food is very good.

Lovely village location not far from Jaen. When we arrived there was parking available in the plaza outside the hotel so we parked there. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Room was a good size with a balcony overlooking the internal terrace. Room was clean and comfortable. We would stay again.

Some noise from the internal terrace until midnight but no big deal.
