The monastery is absolutely beautiful. Got to look inside of 12th century church which was quite the treat. Rooms were luxurious and exceeded expectations. Definitely stay in the main monastery--worth the upgrade!

It's a bit of a walk into Muxia itself, so if on Camino prepare for an additional extension to get dinner and see town. Still very worth it.

The recently renovated hostel is set in a big traditional house ,with a village bar at the ground floor . The rooms are of good size, very simple , quite monastic in the feeling they give . The bathrooms are very clean and well done . There is a garden , covered by a big fig tree with tables and chairs and a well equipped large shed with a BBQ and a pizza oven to prepare your own diner if you wish so . Located next to the monastery building , the hostel is quiet , with a very nice beach accessible by walk and a few kilometers from Muxia .the staff is nice and discreet .

It’s an hostel so there is no staff in the evening and night , so no bar or restaurant at diner time .So the place can be very , very quiet . The price , correct in the absolute , is high compared to price of the pazos you can find in Galice in this early season.

The lovely peaceful location. We had chosen the suite which was huge with a large spa bath which was accessed through the communal area but had its own garden and terrace area. The window opened onto open countryside. On the pilgrim route there was a bar and restaurant over the road with excellent value for money meals and terraces front and back so that you could be in the sun or shade as you prefer. The staff were very welcoming and gave us a guided tour of the chapel which was normally locked.

Compared with other breakfasts we have had in Galicia there was little choice with just toast and jam and some cake to go with orange juice and coffee.

The most beatiful and peaceful place where I have been for long time. If you go there ask to stay in the monastra, and possibly ask for suite Dona Maior!

Just beautiful. I’m definitely going to return for longer this time to explore locally.

We stayed in the suite and it was outstanding and it was very peaceful and with the luxury of a spa bath. Very spacious. They also have huge dormitories and some double rooms. There is a kitchen with fridge freezer and microwave available to use as well. Breakfast basic but adequate and the whole outstanding value for money. Superb views down into the valley and beautiful church on site. A must for something a bit out of the ordinary.

The suite is amazing and to spend a day in such surrounding is a real pleasure. Quiet and fresh and beautiful .

The breakfast was pretty basic .

The lady who signed me in was very helpful, finding my backpack at the bar across the street and finding me a taxi for the morning to go back to muxia for a bus

Men's bathroom floor could use a better cleaning

Everything was wonderful, beautiful, quiet, a great place to rest.

Sweeping the floors for dirt or sand more often.
