Our stay in Pelegrina was only made more memorable by the gracious host James, who owns and runs this beautiful property. James is one of the nicest hosts you will come across, and he is very accommodating (no pun intended). We could have just stayed there and talked with him for the entirety of our stay. The small pueblo of Pelegrina is a wonderful little place to get away from everything, while still being very close to Sigüenza (just 12 mins drive) if you want to explore the area and try the local cuisine. The breakfast that James personally serves was a refreshing change from the usual fayre you get at most hotels, with a selection of toasts of different breads and home made cakes, with delicious coffee and juices. We couldn't be more happy with our stay in Pelegrina, and if we are in the area we would not hesitate to book a room here.

Everything was wonderful, beginning with the fabulous location. Pelegrina and the Parque Natural del Baranco del Rio Dulce is an absolute gem for everyone searching for spectacular landscapes, great hiking opportunities and wonderful views as well as untouched, authentical, historical sites, just like entire Pelegrina and the sites in Sigüenza. Casa Lola is a very charming, lovingly renovated ancient village house. The rooms are spacious with much attention to detail, the view out of the window pittoresque, the breakfast is perfect, the prices absolutely reasonable and James is a very attentive and friendly host. Thank you for the wonderful stay. The only problem was not being able to stay longer.

Casa Lola is a fantastic rural hotel nestled in the town of Peregrina. The owner is very friendly and helpful and we had great chats about the area. He speaks English, like a native :-) Peregrina is a small hamlet and you might be able to park at the hotel if you're lucky. Otherwise there is a parking area on the right as you approach the town. This is not a negative, the town is tiny as you'll see. Casa Lola is off the main street through the town, to the left, about 100m from the first intersection. The hotel is curious and decked out with antiques. It has quirky places to sit and relax, and fabulous views of the ravine and valley. Breakfast was superb. We loved the place.
Nothing.

James is the best host you could ever ask for. He made sure to notify me about the parking situation beforehand (since there isn't much parking space in such a small town). The breakfast was homemade and it tasted amazing, everything fresh, including the orange juice! If you speak English and love disconnecting from the busy hustle of daily life, you'd have loads to talk about with him. We had a wonderful stay, James. Thank you very much!

The location in a small village in the national park was very very special. We were so glad to stay here instead of Sigüenza.
Location was so unique and the host was very hospitable and friendly. Wine by the fire and a home made breakfast with good coffee with stunning views. Also a fantastic restaurant in a few minutes walking distance. Weather was raining on the 2nd day so we love to come back for hiking in the national park!

Everything, we liked everything. Honestly one of the best "hotel" experiences - if you can even call it that. We felt like we were staying in a dear friend's home, James is that welcoming and attentive. The room was cozy, the bed beyond comfortable, the breakfast was perfectly turned-out. The fireplace just calls out for reading in front of it, though it was hard to tear ourselves away from the lovely hiking paths.
That we only stayed one night. And we that didn't get a chance to meet James's dog!

A super nice welcome, very warm and friendly. Our host agreed to serve breakfast a bit earlier for us as we still had a long road ahead the next day. I wish I could have stayed longer to fully enjoy the calm and surroundings. Lots of charm in this rural village. The view was amazing and the nearby restaurant was really good too.
We could have used a fan to sleep better during this hot summer night. I am sure they would have been able to find one for us if we had asked.

Casa Lola is a beautiful classic Spanish house, and although very old it has been very well preserved and renovated, with wonderful antique furnishings and artworks. James is a wonderful friendly host, very knowledgeable about the amazing geographical and natural environment and makes the whole place feel like home.. Breakfast is outstanding, and although Pelegrina is a tiny village it has an outstanding restaurant / bistro less than 100 metres from Casa Lola
We weren't there long enough !

We loved this place from the first moment we entered on the door. The house is nice, furnish with attention to every detail, sparkling clean. The location is in the small village of Pelegrina, near the canion of Rio Dolce - a very beautiful place to take a walk. Is hard to find such a quiet place, we slept like babies there. But what we enjoyed most was the company of the host, James, who helped us with everything we asked for: what food we should order on the restaurant, what to visit... after 8 days is Spain where we have often language problems since few people speak English, James was like a breath of fresh air. Thanks James, best wishes form us!
The signal on your mobil is rather poor, but actually I consider this a plus.

We had a really good time. The location is beautiful, the rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was very good too. The local restaurant at the highest point in the village at the end of the road was fantastic too. The perfect weekend escape.
