This hotel was perfect for our stay. Everything was very clean, comfortable and the staff was kind. The breakfast buffet was excellent, with just about everything you could think and more. They even had meatballs and prinskov so for me it was almost Christmas in July, lol! It is located on a small lake with a beach area to dip. Since we live in Florida "swimming" would be an exaggeration. There was a lovely restaurant nearby and we went to museum the next day to learn more about the Sami people. It was very informative and casual and well done. Highly recommend Hotel Jokkmokk for you stay!

The rooms were simple but nice - we had a beautiful view of the lake. The property has stunning views and abundant access to hiking trails. The staff were very courteous and helpful. The location was perfect. and easy walking access to restaurants and train station. The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots of choices- loved the fruit and the sour milk as well as the bread (I’m a veggie) - the family enjoyed the meats on offer.

While I didn’t expect a fancy gym, and I guess it’s very outdated as hiking is everyone’s first choice, it was disappointing to have just one of two ancient spin bikes (only one usable) and a few weights that had the plastic crumbling off them. The 5 kg barbells we’re missing and the mats were really dirty. So while better than nothing it could use updating!

The room was "no frills" with linoleum floor and nothing extra. It reminds you of a room in a good hostel, really. But the bed was comfortable. There were areas where you f.ex. could play some billiard or have a cup of coffee for free. The staff was nice and it was a bonus to have a buffé dinner included in the price one of the two nights we stayed here. Breakfast was good. It is a very peaceful location and we even had a close encounter with a mama-moose with calf just a few meters from the hotel. You park just outside the hotel, together with all the drivers/engineers for Volvo and Mercedes, who are in Lappland to test their car´s winter abilities.

The TV did not work when we were there, due to a shift from analogue to digital transmission. One might have thought that could have been forseen and fixed by the hotel. The prices are also quite high for the standard, but it is something that is more of a rule than exception in this part of Sweden.

The breakfast was excellent. The view over the lake is superb and it was fine to walk on the lake as it was well frozen in February. Having gone by bus, it is an easy 10 /15 minutes walk to the bus station, taking care on the icy roads.

It was a lovely place to stay. Right by the lake. Room was comfortable and clean. Dinner was a surprise to be included in the booking and was very welcome. Such nice staff. Thank you

Old world charm but that only goes so far. Definitely in need of a renovation. Prices for dinner were terrible and quality was only fair.

The place is great, located near the lac which is beautiful, breakfast/buffet was good too. Would like to come back one day.

The hotel is in front of the lake, as well as the room has a wonderful view for the lake, cleaning is excellent, the breakfast also. It is a Sami-indigenous style, elegant and rustic , ethnic. Quite and good to work and relax.
