The new wing of the hotel where we stayed had nice rooms, although a bit too hot and no real way of regulating the temperature. The breakfast were good with plenty of selection and always being replenished. Food in the Eden pub was good and well priced. The Thai restaurant is a bit downmarket but the food is VERY cheap and tastes OK.

The overall layout of the hotel is not great with lots of different levels to get to various sections of the place. The reception staff were varied, some very helpful others trying hard to be very unhelpful! The indoor pool was not very warm as it was stated to be a "refreshing" pool. I think it should be heated more to attract more people.

The staff and service at this hotel were exceptional—everyone was incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was spotless and well-maintained. Breakfast was fantastic, and the staff was always quick to bring out any missing items. The hotel restaurant was equally impressive, with outstanding staff and delicious food. ( Friday and Saturday always remember to do the reservation for table, because they are super busy) The location of the hotel is perfect, with shops, bus stations, and the train station all just a short distance away. The sauna was a great way to unwind after a long day of walking—it was the perfect place to relax and recharge.

The only downside to this hotel was the swimming pool. Unfortunately, there was only one pool, and the water wasn’t very clean. On top of that, it was quite cold. This was disappointing because more people would likely use the pool if it were more inviting, but it remained empty while most guests opted for the sauna. They also had an outdoor pool, but it was closed and empty, which was another letdown. If the outdoor pool had been open with warm water, it would have been a wonderful experience to enjoy a hot swim while surrounded by the cold outdoors.

If you're planning a trip to see the Northern Lights, this hotel is an excellent choice as many of the guided tours use it as a pick-up point. The staff at the hotel were courteous, especially Camila from the front desk. She went above and beyond to assist with travel arrangements and local shopping advice. One of the standout features of this hotel is the heated bathroom floor, they should do it for entire room :-).

Nothing specific with Hotel but in generally public transport in Kiruna is not good, you will have to rely on call Taxis services for your transport need, they charge a minimum of SEK 230-240. Transfer to Airport was around SEK 400.

Breakfast was sufficient, hotel clean and comfortable

Hotel reception appeared very short staffed, receptionist couldn’t answer our simple questions on checking about access to local buses. Staff felt a bit distracted.

The breakfast is excellent with plenty of choice. The rooms were very typical for this type of hotel. The layout of the place is unusual with lots of connecting doors and steps up and down to various levels. The Thai restaurant that is on the premises is more like a cafeteria, but the food is OK and very cheap.

There seems to be no temperature control in the rooms. Changing the thermostat makes no difference, so you have to cope with the temperature given! The swimming pool indoor was very cold, so was never used ( apparently to be used after sauna!)

Well located in old Kiruna. Spacious rooms. Tasty breakfast with a good variety of food offered.

The staff at the reception do not explain how things work. We were not told that if we want the room to be cleaned we have a leave a notice on the door. We weren’t also told on Christmas Eve that if we want to have a dinner at hotel’s restaurant we need to make reservation although we have asked if food is served which meant that we were interested to have dinner there. However, overall it has been a good experience and I would definitively recommend staying at this hotel.

Lovely place and staff were super friendly and helpful. They assisted to call me a taxi the next day. They also answered all my questions and were genuinely sweet about it. Hotel is well located. Rooms are very small but was sufficient for my overnight solo trip. Loved the crackers from breakfast. The bed is super comfy and room was warm which was critical since it was winter.

Very expensive for a tiny room. There is a short glass shower door and the water seeps under and wets beyond the shower floor. No warm breakfast for vegetarians except porridge.

The hotel is located in the old center which is amazing. You can really see the traditional houses of this neighbourhood. The staff of the hotel I only have one word: Legendary. These people know what service is and I want to highlight specifically Mr Melvin. How he improvised when we needed some food, knowing our activity couldnt go through, that is what you need in hospitality. That man is your Mascotte, he knows how to treat people correctly and help them out when needed. Give the guy a raise!

The wifi is weak at times, but other than that nothing crazy.

Clean, tidy and comfortable - easy to get to (straight off the airport bus and a 5 min walk to reception). Reception staff were polite. Bathroom had decent quality toiletries, which was helpful as we were travelling light (about to start backpacking) so good to have this. Due to late arrival (flights were delayed) and having to leave first thing in the morning, we only basically slept there and then had to continue our journey, but it seemed like a really nice place to stay and I will make sure to visit again for a "proper" stay if I ever return to Kiruna

The hotel was well located. The ICA super store within walking distance was a blessing. Staff was very polite and helpful. The free Madrass (sled) provided by the hotel ensured that the kid enjoyed sledding in the snow. The breakfast spread was good.

Room heating was not very effective. Amenities like toothbrush, paste, comb etc could be added to bathroom facilities. Also a small notepad with pencil could be added. Bunk beds were right opposite the washroom door making it inconvenient at times.
