The staff were very nice. The lady owner who did my check in gave me a map around the area and also gave me some tips on where to go and where to buy food since a lot of shops close early in Fenqihu. She even called me in the morning while I was hiking coz she thought I was lost, because it was time for breakfast. The hotel is near the 7-11. Room is clean and well maintained. Breakfast is clean and simple.

not 100% sound proof, I could hear people conversing in the corridors, but I could let it pass. not much of a view in the room as my room was overlooking the neighbour's house.

The attentive staff made my stay easy and comfortable. At least two English speakers here. In a stroke of serendipity, the hotel co-owner introduced me to a retired guest who excelled in my particular profession (public policy for the economy). Yeashow Villa's breakfast was a well-rounded feast from a set menu. The dining room looks over a lovely fish pond. My room on the second floor was quiet. Old Street where the market is closed down around 5pm. I had a screen door and balcony with mountain views. The bathroom is large with an enclosed shower. The historic trail to Ruili is challenging and delightful with bamboo forests and venerable trees, the main reason I visited. In Ruili, you can get lunch 0.7 km from the trailhead at the hotel restaurant 野薑花庭園餐廳.

I am bad with directions and haven’t learned to read Chinese. Someone on Fenqihu Old Street readily helped me find Yeashow Villa's entrance at 150. From the train station, you just go down the stone stairs, walk a few steps, and go down another stair case with a train mural. The location is ideal and easy enough to find, but somehow even with Booking and Google maps I missed the entrance until a helpful person pointed it out. I have no complaints about the property, glad I got to stay two nights.

It is a hotel with simple, quite outdated rooms that reminds me of staying at grandma's home. But if you are not looking for luxury, it is ok. I am grateful for the hotel staff for accomodating us when our plans changed. It was comfortable to sleep here.

It was generally clean but some things could be cleaned at least from time to time, like cleaning the dust. Also, there was a nasty looking toilet brush in the bathroom just put in the corner with no holder for it. There was no soap. The walls are thin so if you have noisy neighbours you might need earplugs.

We liked the location and the staff. They even upgraded us for free. The view from the room was outstanding. The staff were helpful with directions and the rooms sheets and towels weee changed daily.

We arrived in the middle of March so it was still cold with some warm days. There was not heating in the room so it was freezing when we arrived. They did lend us a small heater which helped a little and luckily the weather improved. The walls are thin so you will hear your neighbours.

Extraordinary hospitality & sincerity! The proprietor, Mr. Li, his entire family, and his team could not have done more to welcome us into their community and care for our needs & comfort. Whether it was the unique chance to participate in an event at the community center, deep insights into the local tea culture or just quality time chatting about the history & issues affecting Fenqihu, we were sincerely included. The cheerful, hard-working staff from the Philippines deserve special mention for maintaining this rustic setting while making special efforts to insure our comfort.

Smoking tourist are always a negative & those sitting outside the entrance were no exception.

Fantastic location just by the station. The place is lovely, some staff speak great English and the rest was very friendly. They had maps prepared to point out any nice hikes, to give time schedule of busses going to other places, to point out tasty restaurants or where the fireflies could be found. The room was big enough, very clean, and smelling fresh (and I was afraid it would not, given how the village is covered in clouds most of the time). Bed was comfy.

Not much, the price is steep but that's just the whole area, not only this hotel.

The provided towels and comfortable bed ensured a pleasant stay. Despite its dated appearance, the bathroom met basic needs. What truly stood out was the warmth and attentiveness of the staff. They went above and beyond, treating me to an evening tea and engaging conversations about life. Their detailed recommendations for exploring Alishan and nearby hikes were invaluable. Additionally, their proficiency in English made communication effortless. Despite being one of the more affordable options, Yeashow exceeded expectations and proved to be well worth the stay.

Quite old appearance but it worth for the money (it was cheap compared to other hotels)

All the staff are friendly and helpful especially Xiao Lee, his mum and grandpa. Their hospitality provided was amazing and they even took extra steps to give suggestions to our itinerary. Our stay was pleasant and we had good conversations.

Only difficulty were the steps up and down since there was no lift for our luggage but they assist us with our luggage up and down the steps. Everything else was beyond our expectations.

A family-run hotel full of Taiwanese hospitality. We like their porridge for breakfast. On the third day, the lady boss said that breakfast is free today😊😊 Thank the boss for helping us book a private car from Yushan at a reasonable price. Great location. It is easy to get public transport to Alison, but need to take note of the bus time schedule as not every bus will pass by fenchihu.

The hotel staffs are very kind and helpful for the tourists, they take care of us, the tourists/customers, the most important is that they spend a lot of time patiently introducing what you need to know for your visiting in very details, I really appreciated Mr Li’s great helps, also his whole family whoever is involved into the business entertaining all visitors.

I did not have anything to dislike while I was staying.
