Had a lovely chat with receptionist on arrival. Received good recommendations for a local laundry. Very comfortable room. Bathroom is a shower and toilet (not Japanese). Very spacious and easily fit us and all our bags. Kettle and tea/coffee making facilities plus fridge with water bottles. Water available on ground floor. Air conditioning was good, could be a little loud. But there is an option to open the window as it had a fly net. Easy to wander about anping and see all the historical surroundings.

Staff was so friendly and helpful with giving directions to local attractions and eats. The room was very comfortable and they kept our bag in their lobby and use the toilet after check out

It would have been nice to have some form of hand soap even though single use soap bars are no longer allowed in Taiwan - maybe a refillable dispenser placed on the sink. We used the shower gel provided in the shower as handwashing soap.

It's located across from the market, so there are plenty of inexpensive local breakfast options, and you get a good sense of how the locals live. Also you can get to the old street very easily. They provide a wonderful map of the fabulous food places to check out, and the openng/closing times of the attractions. The receptionist was very helpful in offering suggestions even in town.

Parking is not as convenient, if you're not lucky enough to score one of the few lots just outside. There's a laundromat you can walk to in 4 mins, but it would have been great if they had a machine in the hotel.

The room with two queens was enormous and really comfortable. The location right at the Anping market was great!

A night light for the toilet would be useful, as we had to leave the bathroom light on which is quite bright. Having no staff on hand during the day means leaving and collecting luggage is a palaver, we have been unable to get line ID to work with our local number, no-one answered their number given on the reception notice, and their Facebook, suggested as an alternative means of communication doesn't have messaging enabled.

The Flora Inn is situated in the Anping District, surrounded by historic dwellings of Old Tainan. The Dutch Fort, multiple temples and quaint narrow streets provided hours of easy walking and architectural photo opportunities. The waterfront is nearby and multiple dining options are readily available. The Public Market is directly across from the hotel for quick breakfasts every day but Sunday.

We had no complaints! The room was large, furnished with comfy mattresses, cotton sheets and warm duvets. The WiFi connection was solid throughout our stay. The IKEA furnishings are on the spartan side, but graceful.

Anping is such a cute spot and this hotel is only a few blocks from most of the spots you would want to visit (Anping Treehouse, the fort, old street etc). There is a local market every morning when you walk out the front door which was fun to grab stuff from. They upgraded us to a larger room which was nice!

There is virtually nothing going on in this area in the evening which means you need to be prepared to either eat in Tainan and bus or taxi back or be limited to one or two spots.

Most of the furnitures in the room look new. The room is clean. Location is pretty good, it's about 5 minutes walk to the Anping Old Street.

No breakfast included. There is no service after 8pm.

Hotel is smack right in the middle of the old street, perfect for strolling. Right opposite of the market. But it is abit far from everything else - the town, the train station and some of the famous night markets. They upgraded us to bigger room, which was a bonus! Room was comfortable and spacious. Friendly staff.

No bum gun in the toilet. The staff are not there at night, but at long as you check in at a normal time it's no problem.

Without asking they had given us an upgrade, a better room with lots of space. We really enjoyed that.

There was no breakfast. It was pretty hard to find a breakfast place for us who do not eat pork or seafood. if you do eat them, no problem.
