Comfortable room and bed, a fan in the ceeling good restaurant and friendly Staff.

The WiFi was not good, There were no information in the room and the dustbin in the barhroom was full at arival.

Fantastic staff and the service

Staff, service, pretty good.

No glasses or cups in my room, even they they had tea/coffee in there. I didn't call the reception. Bathroom design, with showers NOT self contained leaves a mess of water all over the place. WiFi required sign on everytime one left the room, and automatic lights off may be a factor. Couldn't pay with credit card because I think their system is geared to local cards only, through a Local Bank facility. I had to go and get cash.

Mbeya has an area with lots of vendors selling most items.

An area of significant tourist attractions, it does not have. There is a lake, if looking at water, gets your adrenaline going, otherwise there is nothing remarkable about it, except, maybe dust. This hotel feels like a Chinese owned one, with a proliferation of cameras everywhere! What's most disappointing is it's food: limited menu, and mostly they don't have the food anyway. I asked for pumpkin soup and both times they didn't have it. And they keep you waiting for a very long time and when it comes, it is cold. The chef sent the mushroom soup basically as pickled water, as it had so much salt in it - twice! Although I pointed this out, the waiting staff still included it on the bill even though I didn't eat it. This restaurant treats all its diners with a weird local type attitude and all need rapid training. Because even when they are not busy, they purposefully make you wait - a long time. Service: 3/10.

The most expensive hotel in town (EUR 45 / night), despite having a reservation via booking, tried to move me into a room with blind windows towards the corridor. No light, no fresh air. After a protest, they gave me a very nice room with excellent view to the busy main road, but a good room. At the same time, they told me that I have to change rooms tomorrow. Okay. Next evening they tried to offer me a room facing the next building – 1 meter away; so again no view. Protest again and I was offered a room with a view, but exactly located under the kitchen in the 6th floor. It was noisy until midnight. The rooms are for local standard very good, but the tiles in the bathroom have been made by amateurs (also the staircase as because they are of different heights). The electrical switches in the room are devoid of any logic and there is a huge TV screen but the remote control has no batteries, so one cannot switch it on. - The evening before departure I settled my bill but could not get an invoice immediately; I said will go for dinner and then return. After 1.5 hours I retuned and the ladies at the reception have not even started my invoice. Finally I got one and I asked for a stamp and signature. I was told that the manager has the stamp and will come tomorrow, so that I might get the stamped invoice the next morning. I got it the next morning. As mentioned already, in the 6th floor is a Chinese-looking restaurant, but it is not, operated by someone else. At the first evening I had to wait for an hour for a mediocre meal. 2nd evening okay. 3rd evening I ordered a soup and vegetarian spaghettis; I got no soup and chicken spaghettis – and I ate them. Next evening I ordered – as end of the working week – a steak “medium” and I got a totally dry and burned one. I send it back and I skipped the dinner. However the young waiter was desperate and I understood that he has to pay for the “damage”.

The staff falsely claimed we did not pay. They did not accept that payment was still pending, and wanted us to pay twice.
