The staff was so kind to our family,really felt like home. The on-site restaurant had nice meals at reasonable prices. The pool area has such a nice boutique ambiance and felt so relaxing. Just a 5 minute walk away, there's Peanut coffee for great lattes,a 7-11,Lotus,Otteri laundry, and the best homemade Indian restaurant called Akbar Dhaba that I highly recommend. We booked a few nights and then booked longer because it was so nice. Great for families.

A lamp would be nice for the evening time. Some of the overhead lighting was flickering in the room. Some storage or more countertop in the bathroom would be nice. And brighter lighting in the bathroom for women to apply makeup. Beds were pretty stiff for Western standards.

Our stay at tha thongtara house was the best! When we arrived we where greeted by sidd an sai. The helped us with our luggage and gave the room. Due to my handicap its difficult for me to stand up in a shower, so when i asked if there was a possibility to change rooms with a bath tub, the owners helped us to swap rooms. We were treated like kings there, the pool is clean and the staff is super friendly, nothing is to much. We would recommend anyone to book this hotel when you visit Bangkok. The location is just outside of the city center but we preferred this. Its the best hotel price quality. Thank you sai and sidd for the great service and you're kindness. Ps, when you need advice for places to visit and food. They know the best places

We liked the hotel, it is quite remote but a grab can take you anywhere. The hotel host she was amazing, she told us of the night market which we went to on the first evening. We also like the pool and breakfast. We didn’t have dinner in the hotel but brekkie was good I would say the dinner would be too. The bed was very comfortable. When leaving a staff ran after us as we left something in the room very kind. The manager also kindly printed documents for our onward journey.

We used the gym each day. This is where the marks fall down. As we are used to using gyms, we managed ok. But a better floor and some mats and cleaning equipment would be ideal and a better structure to the equipment as we had to climb over machines to get to another. As I said we are not fussy, so we managed. The bath situation was okay a hook on the wall for the hose would be better as its a jacuzzi bath so was awkward to shower.

It was our third visit to Thailand with our family but the first time at Thongtara. When we reached the place, we were amazed by the place location. It is a nice, calm and peaceful place. Located near the MRT and accessible to places where we could taste yummy local foods. ATM, 7 Eleven, Hairdresser's facilities are reachable within some minutes walk. When we reached our room, we were more surprised of the cleanliness, relaxing décor, comfortable beds. Moreover, spending time at the pool was simply magical. The kids really enjoyed. All these were complimented by the warmth of the staffs. They are very helpful anytime. The management team is simply incredible, going over and above to make us comfortable. They provided useful advice of the places to visit and to avoid especially during this specific time of the year. The year 2024 was a very hectic one for us with lots of good and especially bad things to handle. But the days spent at Thongtara, helped us to have a well deserved break and helped us to recharge ourselves. Thongtara is definitely the place to be,

We didn't like the day when we had to return to our country. It seemed that the holidays were too short and we would miss the vibes of Thongtara.

Amazing cosy compact hotel in great area for comfortable rest and exploration of this part of Bangkok. Easy access to Suan Luang Rama IX national park, Train Night Market Srinakarin and Muang Boran - Ancient Siam museum. Megabangna mall is very close if you would like to have some shopping. And of course the Suvarnabhumi airport. So the hotel is great to spend couple days before the departure from Bangkok. The staff was absolutely amazing and super friendly! We did not take breakfasts, and instead took some eggs and toasts in the morning, prices were very reasonable! The pool is very clean and comfortable! Most recommended! Would be great to come again!

The choice of rooms was good . The Decor was fantastic and unique The pool was beautiful and clean and a great area to sit around and relax . Quiet spot but still close walk to all amenities shops restaurants. The rooms are equipped with fridge aircon coffee and tea facilities along with the basic toiletries. Has a dining room with fridge microwave breakfast stuff . You can also order meals there. But there are plenty of food choices around the corner. The staff are great and nothing is too much. The complex consists of 5 floors with an outdoor area patio on the first floor accessible from the pool area and a lift or stairs to the rooms. Will definitely be staying there again . Thumbs up on this one

There was nothing that I didn't like about the place to be honest

Everything was great the staff the connectivity with the Bts station which is a 10 minute The staff is well versed in english which is really helpful.They helped us plan out the day and the night Market suggested by them was wonderful and also very budget friendly definitely recommend.A complementary tuk tuk was provided during our checkout this was very appreciated.The bar and live music is also available.

It is a bit far from the centre however if one wishes a bit of quiet and budget friendly hotel then definitely should book.The staff the rooms and service are extremely good.

Both of the rooms I stayed in were quite nice, the latter being the superior of the two. Great showerhead, relaxing bath, very comfortable bed and excellent air con. The host, manageress Sai is a beautiful, intelligent and vibrant presence who is welcoming and very easy to talk to. Not only will she put you at ease, she has excellent recommendations for activities and places to visit in Samut Prakan during your stay. The breakfast nook is modest but well stocked and you can choose from fried or scrambled egg or fried rice for your main. The primary cook is a great chef. The pool is also great, but the wrap around nature of the hotel can leave you feeling a bit exposed to the other guests.

The first room I stayed in had a poor showerhead with weak heat and very little room to arrange toiletries. For two mornings the locking mechanism on my door malfunctioned and I was trapped until I was able to phone the staff. The second morning there was no one in reception to answer and I eventually had to call down from my window to some other guests to get out. Also, for the first three days, Sai, the manageress was not present and the younger staff there did not speak English very well. This made communication very difficult.

The staff and owners were great! The rooms were outstanding and comfortable. The owners were so helpful with anything I needed help with. Super friendly people.

Had a problem with the jets blowing off when you started up the jacuzzi tub.😊

The hotel Staff was very friendly and I really liked this place but something strange happen

I m worrying a bit about the lady from the Rezeption. The one night it sounds like someone was raped. I only heard a woman screaming. After that Kids were screaming and I only heard how a woman was crying. My (electric) door was locked and were glitching so I cant open. When I was asking the stuff they told me "just some Kids who played or some dogs" but why was the woman walking strange after that happenings ?
