Akuntuka is a set of chalets around a central pool and restaurant. The chalets are well finished, clean and comfortable, the pool is great for cooling off, the restaurant serves tasty, good value food and the staff were very helpful.

The fridge and aircon don't work when the room is locked, so on very hot days the chalet gets like an oven, and the fridge is more a limited duration cooler box. The breakfast times were constantly changing, 6.30, 7, 8, and the restaurant last orders were 17.30.

I extended my stay because the place exceeded my expectations. Swimmingpool is perfectly maintained, breakfast is outstanding and so is the food in the restaurant. There is a small island in the river where I could sling my hammock in the shadow of the trees. In the afternoon just hop in the restaurant to get excellent food. Nice walks to the nearby temple with a big tree and further upstream (via suspension bridge). Whe I returned a weel later they gave me the same nice standard room (Y-103) as I had requested. Excellent staff and service.

Restaurant closed at 6pm - maybe due to very few customers (Covid - 19 related). You need your own transport to get here.

Air conditioning not the strongest so quite hot in the room at night. Hard to communicate with staff if you don’t speak Thai.

I returned here because I knew it was an outstanding option in the area. This time it was a weekend so they had more Thai tourists which made it possible to offer the full breakfast buffet. Last time there was less choice due to only few guests but the breakfast was excellent both times. Pool, river ponds and the small island in the river where you can sling your hammock or hang out in chairs are unbeatable. I extended my stay again, of course.

No English, everything was closed in the neighbourhood. First check if the nature Parks are open.

Food was not delicious my wife didn't like it

I have been eyeing this resort for some time, and after a long day and rain storm we decided to choose a nice resort where we could chill out. Beautiful location, very well kept grounds, superb looking pool, great customer service, and VERY clean room.

We booked a suite for over 2,000 THB, upon arrival I was shocked to see the size of the room if this is a suite, I can't imagine what the next step down would be. Restaurant closed at 5:30pm, luckily on motorcycle and we were able to venture out, but ended up ordering 'in house'. Don't get me wrong, it's a great place, well maintained and very clean LITTLE rooms, but it seems like it's geared for the Bangkok couple who want a quick weekend get away. Way OVERPRICED
