The bungalow was very spacious, with a walk-in closet, a large balcony, and a huge, comfortable bed. The property itself is lovely, lush greenery by the river, and you wake up to birds singing and nature sounds. It’s only a 5–6 minute drive to Thung Wua Laen Beach, which was perfect for us since we came to Chumphon for a scuba diving trip (that’s where the dive boats leave from). At night, the area is peaceful and quiet. There are also two 7-Eleven stores and a Mini Big C supermarket nearby, which makes it really convenient. The uncle (owner) is very kind, I would definitely go back and stay at Rimsira again!

A good hotel in a traditional style to stay at for a couple of days. The hotel is next to the river, a small but cozy terrace to admire the view in the evening and the nature, a nice room with 3 beds, bathroom and some simple coffee-tea options, a good conditioner, clean and good sleeping facilities. Friendly and helpful host, who helped us with the transfer. Everyday cleaning and towels change. 5 minute walk from the nearest beach, a longer walk to the beautiful beach (in hot weather it becomes a real challenge, but we enjoyed it) The location is nice: 2 shops, local market, farmacia and petrol station.

The chalets are very nice, clean and suitable for up to a weeks stay. The staff and locals are very friendly and helpful. We were here in the low season. There is not much to do locally, so i would say hire a car from the airport. The local taxi hire is a little expensive but they are very accomadating. It's about a 40 min drive from the ferry port and 35 min from the airport. There is local street food and shops only a 4 min walk away. The beach is a 5 min walk away. There is a beach bar called the Phoenix a 7 min walk away and do some great western and Thai food.

This place is an absolute gem. You don‘t find this in many places: the owner is beyond kind, they have beautiful houses - especially the one I was located, right next to the river (immersive fauna). The town doesn‘t have much, despite the beach and few places to eat dinner expect the usual street-food scooters. Rimsira is perfectly designed - the architecture is an absolute state of the art of asian style, well and smart engineered, wether it’s sunny and hot or pouring rain. On top, the people of Chumphon are just lovely and so helpful. Couldn‘t ask for more! Thank you very much!

The owner awaited us as soon as we arrived and took us straight to our room, no questions asked. She immediately asked if we were going to the airport in the morning and that we would have a lift arranged at 7 am. We had to ask no questions, and everything was sorted for us before we put our bags down. The river view was lovely and peaceful, it's a shame we weren't staying for longer.

Not the hotel's fault, but it is about 40 minute's walk to the main beach, where everything is and there was no taxi's about. We managed to get a lift off a local their and back. I'm sure the owner would've arranged this though if we asked! So location is the only thing I would say if you wanted to go to the beach.

The location is good. The rooms are large. Friendly staff.

It's an old place, therefore, I found this place is not that clean. Spider webs in the room, used stuff, not so good maintained. As we are a family with atopy/allergy, our allergic symptoms were aggravated while we were at the place, which could be from the dust/ house dust mites.

Rimsira is a gem of a guesthouse located off the costal road. Our beautifully designed raised house was not only cozy, comfortable and very clean, it included all modern conveniences you could wish for: a little kitchenette with fridge and hot water heater, a separate bathroom, and even a smaller 'window seat bed' my son immediately chose as his own. The pier out back on a picturesque little bay with unused wooden boats makes for a pleasant, relaxing early morning sort. The owners and staff were exceptionally welcoming and kind.

We picked this location as it was very close to Chumphon 's airport (25 minutes). The location and room were really nice and convenient. It has been built by people who were thinking about what they were doing which was agreeable. The room had a beautiful wooden feel to it. The lively garden had animals and a few beautiful abandonned boats.

This nice couple came to pick us up from the Chumphon pier which was convenient. However I didn't confirm that with them prior to our arrival as we were thinking to come by our own means. They charged us 900 baht. It was a 1 hour ride. This is the only thing we liked less about this place as it was confusing and unexpected.

Very nice gent helped me check in. The room is unique and beautifully designed. Somewhat like a mix between a bungalow and traditional wooden Thai house. You could tell a lot of love and effort went into designing it over many years. The mangrove river brings a special atmosphere... and it had many fish!

Our main goal was to just stay over one night, for our boat to Koh Tao. But what we didn't expect, was how nice the hotel was and the area. The river view was really relaxing, and it only takes less than 5 minutes by foot to the sea! Bunch of local and good restaurants nearby as well with a very affordable price. I became sick during my stay, the staff was so kind and accompanied me in the middle of the night to 7-11 to buy medicine. It was definitely a life saver, and I am forever grateful for that. If you're looking for a nice place to relax, with authentic Thai food and atmosphere, there isn't a better hotel than this
