The hospitality was top notch. The employees always greeted us with a smile, and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a little something new every day. Their coffee was excellent. The rooms had everything we needed, from water, towels and extra blankets. The desks, doorway and locks were a worn, but everything was functional. The entryway/ breakfast area was inviting, clean and pretty. Location is right on the boardwalk with a lovely bay to enjoy. It is a nice 5 to 10 minute walk to the çarşı or castle walls. My family and I appreciated everything this lovely place had to offer, especially the people.

The rooms need a little attention/fixing and mosquitos make bad roommates.

CHECK-IN: uncomplicated STAFF: friendly smiling and always present to support you. Really appreciated. SIZE: huge. We opted for the sea-view room and this had an extra living room with balcony and window on the other side. CLEAN: looked very clean indeed. BATHROOM: ok, large and functional as expected QUIET: yes indeed, very much. The only noise was from the blowing wind. LOCATION: charming relaxing and it felt safe. SERVICES AROUND: in walking distance you find groceries and restaurant. In few minutes drive the old town harbor offers you restaurant and other services BREAKFAST: A-S-T-O-N-I-S-H-I-N-G!! This deserves already at least a 4-stars hotel classification. Tons of choice and lot of warm cooked food you can choose.

PARKING: it's just an open air area along the side street, but it felt safe for us and never busy WIFI: worked only in the lobby. But I bet they fixed for the upstairs rooms in the meantime

10 out of 10. Highly recommended hotel thanks to its location, its staff, the clean rooms and the outstanding breakfast. We travelled with our toddler and he coulnd't be happier. The staff made us feel as we were family. It was even hard to say goodbye. We don't go to the same hotel twice, but the chance is very high that we'll be returning asap. The breakfast every morning was exquisite. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis. You can swim basically everywhere in front of the hotel (nicest thing of Foca). The bed was really comfortable and the room spacious. Great ice coffee. Thanks guys!

Yunus, Verdad and the whole team were amazing. They were so accommodating kind and welcoming and made our stay so enjoyable. The rooms are comfortable with stunning views out on the water, sweet design and good air con. They took us out on a private boat tour for a very reasonable price, and gave us good advice on which beaches to visit as well as free entry to the Hanedan beach club 10 mins down the road very cheap taxis. The location was amazing with a short walk along the sea front to the town where there are lovely seafood restaurants and boutiques. Really good menemen, fresh bread and Turkish breakfast. We changed our booking to stay an extra night, and general manager Verdad was so helpful calling our next hotel and booking.com to help us change our booking - he really went above and beyond to make sure our booking was correct and we didn’t get over charged. They don’t speak perfect English here but this was never a problem we communicated fine with the help of instant translation. Everything about our stay was easy positive and comfortable thanks to our hosts. We will definitely come back. We visited as a couple but it would also be very comfortable for a family.

Why it was 9/10 not 10/10: As you can see there aren’t a huge amount of facilities at the hotel. You are paying for the location, views on the water and the amazing hosts. If I’m being really picky the cleaning could have been slightly higher standard eg in the bathroom to get that super clean shiny hotel feel. But it was not unclean at all.

A great room, spacious, clean, view towards the sea. There is a small parking lot next to the hotel, although it was low season so parking on the street was fine as well. The downtown area is 20-30 min of walk, which is exactly why I chose this place, so I am quite happy with the location. Day shift receptionist spoke some English, evening shift did not, but Google translate always helps. Internet was strong and stable. It is a hotel I enjoyed and I would book again if I visit Foca.

There was no boiling kettle in the room to make your own tea/coffee. I had to leave very early (before breakfast), so it would have been nice to start the day with a warm drink. This should be a small investment, so I hope they bring some next time.

Foca was great ! One of the best holidays I have been to that I can say I have rested and enjoyed every second of it. It is such a beautiful town with friendly locals. Everyone is soo nice and and helpful. We stayed at the Haneden Hotel in the city centre. The hotel had a modern look with very nice furniture. We stayed the breakfast and the turkish coffees we had at the hotel. We were given access to the Haneden beach hotel to visit their beach which was an extra bonus we did not expect. they have three sister hotels which we could visit. also there was summer series being filmed at this area at the time and all the stars were staying at these hotels. We fell in love with Foca definitely will return to Foca one day and suggest it to all my friends and family that this is a place to be !

The hotel offers a gorgeous view of the water and the service was exceptional. From experience my wife and I know that accommodation in Turkey can be hit or miss, this is the best place we have stayed at this price range while traveling in Turkey. The breakfast was delicious and large, with your choice of drink included. I was surprised that their coffee was quite tasty. The shower pressure and temperature were nice, the AC worked well, and the location is quiet yet in walking distance to the city center.

The bedsheets had a small hole possibly from a cigarette and there was no elevator so for elderly/disabled there’s no access.

Nice typical Turkish breakfast served in bowls. Nice location of a small quiet village. Nice staff. A few meters from the hotel is the sea, where boats are parked, but we went to swim elsewhere, where the beach was. The nearest beach is approx. 5 minutes' walk away - entrance fee, shower also (not included in entrance fee).

Sometimes in the evening, the smell of sewage wafted around the hotel, but I assume the hotel is not responsible for that.

We stayed in Hanedan Otel for 3 nights. Our experience with the hotel was so good that we decided to revisit this beautiful property in two weeks for another 3 nights. This review is being made after being a guest of Hanedan Otel for two times in a month. This seaside hotel is located within a short walking distance from the city center. You have multiple beaches within walking distance around the hotel. In addition, you get a special access to a blue flag beach of a sister hotel property named Hanedan Beach Hotel. You get to experience in swimming in crystal clear water with the most attractive colors of blue at that blue flag beach. Regarding service, Mr. Vedat and his very professional team addressed every single request we had perfectly! Simply, Hanedan Otel is a real-world example of very high-level guest service! This luxury property with great sea view, very quiet atmosphere and pretty comfortable rooms is a gem of Foca. The only negative comment I have is that we had to leave Hanedan Otel as our vacation was over :) Hanedan Otel will definitely be our home away home when we visit Turkey again in the near future! We highly recommend it! A million thanks for your unique hospitality, Hanedan Otel!!

A very friendly concierge organised a disabled-friendly room for us at ground level, and welcomed us with coffee. Although the room was small, it was modern and well appointed. For dinner, it was an easy walk along the seafront to the Foca town centre with its little harbour. The place was alive and buzzing - many lights, markets, shops, restaurants, etc.

The hotel was at least half a kilometer from the town centre, which entailed a long walk for us, even though it was level ground. We had to depart really early in the morning, so we missed breakfast which started at 0830.
