The staff were the most attentive and courteous that I've ever experienced from a Motel/Hotel. We got the key to our room and the manager came out after we parked and said that he saw a child and another adult in the car so he wanted to show us a different room for the same price where the single beds were the same as our room, but this one had a wall separating the Queen/King bed and the 2 twin beds for more privacy. We kept the original room we booked because I doubt my 5yo would sleep in a bed where she can't see me, especially in a strange place. The room was very tidey, quiet (with the exception of having banging noises from the Jack N the Box and the neighborhood at night). Also, it is near everything. About 1 mile from the Santa Monica pier and 2 miles or so from Venice beach. Just a wonderful little spot for the right price, wonderful and welcoming staff and close to a lot of things.

The only thing I missed was having a microwave and coffee pot. Although there is a Jack N the Box about 50 feet from the hotel parking lot where you can get coffee, it'd be nice to not have to get dressed when needing coffee.

Super friendly and accommodating managers and staff! Great location, within walking distance to the beach (15mins) and fast foods (jack in the box on yr doorstep, el Pollo chicken is 3-5mins down the rd along with donuts, panda express etc). Place was clean and tidy with comfy beds. They let us leave our bags earlier than check in so we could go explore the area until the room was ready. We found a fabulous little local bar across the road too. Would stay here again in a heartbeat - Couldn't rave highly enough about this place.

The bathroom was teeny tiny but still had toilet, washbasin and shower.

Outdated decor.

I don't remember my room number, but it was in-between two rooms. Parking was easy. The staff was very friendly. If I had had a longer stay, then I would have utilized the outdoor patio area. I stayed the night of July 4th so could visit with friends that live near the Santa Monica Beach.

The hotel is an older building and has thin walls. I am a very light sleeper, so the gentleman that was snoring in the room next to mine kept me awake throughout the night. Also, the other tenants letting their room doors slam in the morning time woke me up, as did their noisy loading of their cars since the parking lot is so close to the hotel. Even with hear plugs in, I still not sleep well because the noise.

Came back to a cleaned room every day, fresh towels, bed sheets changed often too . All nice n white. Comfy soft bed lovely. Fab courtyard/garden with lots of seats. Sit & watch the squirrels . Secure & locked gates ..Staff lovely. Looked after our luggage for us on the last day till 6pm so we didn’t have to walk around with our suitcases all day, and on our return to pick them up they allowed us to use the courtyard to get organised & use the guest bathroom before heading to the airport. Thankyou Property right next door to Jack in the box so we were able to get our coffee there each morning.

Good location, good value, and friendly greeting. We were not spending much time in the room, so it was just what we needed—clean, comfortable, and quiet. We appreciated having a fridge. Nice walk to the beach and pier. Excellent Italian restaurant, Piccolo, very nearby. We were only sorry we weren’t able to take advantage of the beautiful garden as it was just a bit too chilly. Would definitely stay here again when in Santa Monica.

The staff was very friendly and went out of their way to make our stay as comfortable as possible. Very nice garden in the rear for relaxation away from the Lincoln Avenue traffic noise. Good amenities, nice big towels. The room was kind of small but serviceable; we had three beds, with twins in a private alcove which is good for families.

The location, while convenient for cars and public transit, was in an area that can sometimes get noisy/boisterous in the evening and we had such an experience one of our three nights. Beds in adjoining rooms were back-to-back and walls not so thick, which led to a rhythmic and loud post-midnight percussion experience.

This historic motel was nice, cozy and quaint. It was in a perfect location for all my plans for the weekend. My room was clean and in the cute patio area, which was good for me. I also felt safe during my stay. Check in and out was a breeze. No noisy guests during my stay. Kim and Leonard were very hospitable. Extremely nice, sweet hosts before and during my stay! They did not hesitate to happily and graciously help when needed. I would definitely stay here again!

Warm welcome from the staff. All the necessary comfort in the room, fridge, air conditioning and very clean. Ideal location, 15 min walk from the pier. Free parking. I recommend this place

For the star rating of a 2/3 star Motel you won’t find better, well run, with free parking, very close to a 7 eleven, Starbucks and for those who are driving around to see California there are plenty of gas stations near. I felt very safe and would book again without hesitation.

On the drive to the Motel like most city’s and county’s you will see the odd person with mental health conditions on the road side, no fault of the Motel it’s just the world we live in.
