We were a little worried after reading some of the reviews but we didn’t really understand where they were coming from. The room was very tidy and clean and very spacious. The breakfast was very fine (pancakes, yogurt, coffee, bread, muffins, flakes, apples). The staff was friendly. Before bedtime it was possible to hear some noise from the other rooms but during the night it was calm.

We did have an upstairs room and we noticed that walking around it made quite some creaking sounds even when we tried to walk extremely gently to not bother the guests below us. We do therefore understand the comments from some people with regards to that. Also the price is way too high - we stayed in many other, very similar places with the same quality and breakfast that cost even less than half the price.

We liked everything about The Wetherill Inn. From the very friendly staff at check in to the laundry facilities, we were very happy we chose this motel for our one evening in Kayenta. The room was very clean, smelled fresh and it was so big we could have square danced in there. The beds were comfortable with enough pillows and blankets. The bathroom was a bit dated but it was clean as a whistle. The laundry area was tidy and well lit. Lots and lots of ice for our cooler. Check out was quick and pleasant. We even ended up buying our only souvenirs of the trip at their well stocked Gift Shop. Highly recommend this lovely motel!!

Very clean, pleasant spacious rooms, good amenities (refrigerator), beautiful indoor pool. The staff were very helpful, when our tv didn’t work and they couldn’t fix it immediately, they switched us to a different room. This is a great location for viewing monument valley, which is an easy 30 minute drive away. Also, Kayenta has some good food options. We had an excellent and well priced meal at Amigo Cafe.

A qualified criticism: the room was far cheaper than those close to the Monuments (Gouldings and the View), it still was kind of pricey for a standard motel room.

Breakfast was better than I anticipated. The breakfast room was spacious and also had a nice outside patio eating area. The room was spacious and well decorated. The television had music channels which was a nice bonus because most hotels no longer have radios.

The hotel has non-smoking rooms. However, about every 5th room there are ashtrays on the outside railings and the ash trays were never emptied while we were there. There were a lot of guests that were smokers, and one could get a blast of smoke upon opening up your door to the outside early in the morning or later at night. When booking the room , hotel advertised there was a hotel computer at the office that guests could use. There was none available for guests.

The hotel is in a very convenient location, it is a bit dated but well maintained and the rooms are large. It’s a good value for money

The breakfast is very bad. Except for coffee, milk and cereals, all the rest is junk food. Very low quality, bad taste, and artificial food with conservatives and sugar. I don’t think it would be much of an effort nowadays to add some normal fresh bread and pastries, some fruits and eggs.

Within an hour of our arrival the lights started to flicker and then a total power outage impacting half of the facility. The darkness was frustrating as we were having dinner, and the other half were brightly lit. The receptionist explained that the manager was out to wait for local utility to come and fix the exposed wire problem. The lights came back after around 40 minutes. Liked the diligence of staff and the setting in the room with table and chairs for two families to eat together. The breakfast is decent and I liked the porridge.

If the bathtub faucets are turned on more the drain gets slow.

The room was clean and on the ground floor as requested. The gift shop at the registration desk had many unique items. We checked in in the evening so not much time to look around as we were tired and passing through.

Continental breakfast was provided, as a person on A Keto diet, no options for me. There was coffee, juice, tea to drink. Biscuits and gravy I was told were the best ever! Pancake machine, cereal, hard-boiled eggs, muffins, and donuts were available.

Great location. Room was very clean and good sized. Bed was very comfortable. A/C worked well especially since it was over 100 degrees. Good tv and fridge. Nice Keurig coffee maker. Shower was pretty good but small bathroom. Was pleasantly surprised when we got to the room.

Pool was small and since it was indoors it was extremely hot. Hard to get all our luggage up the stairs since we both have health issues but it was doable.

It is a simple but quite complete hotel to spend the night. It has a large space for breakfast. Comfortable room. Parking included. Friendly hotel staff, with a different style from other communities. Nice gift shop at the reception

The location is quite far from shops if you do not have a car, and the town is quite simple. It is important to take into account that Kayenta is part of the Navaja Nation, and has customs typical of this community, eg they do not sell alcoholic beverages, in summer the time zone differs from Arizona, etc.

As clean and quiet as can be, with comfortable beds! Everything worked and we enjoyed the room and color scheme. The gift shop was dangerous! The Amigo Cafe just down the road had the best homemade food and was very reasonable.

Breakfast might have been nice but, unfortunately, a lot of it was packed up when we arrived 20 minutes before the end of breakfast. Pastries were stale and the juice seemed watered down. There was an awful garbage smell in the office entrance hallway.
