I love BIG COUNTRY INN! I stop and stay for 3 reasons: 1. Location: midway between the SF. Bay Area and LA., across the freeway from Harris Ranch Resort. We eat at the restaurant and enjoy the best steak and prime rib in the state. 2. Spacious, quality, quiet rooms. The beds are wonderfully large. The bathroom is modern, recently upgraded with modern appointments. The bedding and smells nice. The room smells nice. 3. The grounds are well maintained. It is a pleasure to sit near the pool and read a book, while I watch kittens playing.

I wish that breakfast were open later than 08:30 AM. Breakfast is very good here. I also would prefer to sleep in while traveling.

Last minute booking - smooth and straightforward. Access to the pool, nice and clean spacious room. Breakfast -good selection - only served till 8.30 but guests were allowed to come late. Kittens hiding in the bushes nearby. Nice BBQ area. It was very quiet (late May).

I was surprised that booking via 3rd party was cheaper than direct. Lots of trucks parking nearby, most with engines turned on overnight! Generally expensive for the location.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and it’s great every time. It’s spotless and the beds are comfortable. Breakfast is good and staff are always so kind and accommodating. It’s an excellent location too.

Literally the only complaint I have about this hotel is there are very few outlets by the beds. Between my husband’s cpap machine and all the devices we charge-phones and Apple Watches, we usually have to unplug something to accommodate. But other than that, this hotel is perfect!

Spacious clean rooms inside. Veronica who handled the breakfast was excellent in dealing with people and accommodating us when food and coffee ran out. The breakfast was delicious.

The walkway to the rooms was very dirty. There were several ( at least 30 Farrell cats) sleeping in front of the rooms and on the walkway. And I am highly allergic to cats.

Easy to get to of freeway. Perfect stop on your way to San Francisco. Lots of food options nearby. Staff friendly. Buffet breakfast included. Super comfy bed. Loved the little cats.

Sound proofing between rooms not great especially when do many guests seem to get up early. Trucks pull up outside front of room at night. Sound of traffic can be heard but not too badly. Bathroom dated.

Staff was great and pleasant. I loved the grounds and little park and picnic area.

We did not have hot water for first night. Staff reset water heater and we had it for morning showers. A lot of exterior doors for water heaters and electrical were missing - looked tacky.

Entire facility is one story, no stairs. Built like little casitas. Caters to a multitude of travelers including Truckers, RVers, etc. Great breakfast.

Only one luggage cart. Someone is feeding cats and walkways were littered with paper containers for the cats.

Very convenient location. Huge room. Very comfortable bed and pillows. I try to stay there on all my trips out of California as it is 8hrs drive from my home. Denny’s is right next door for dinner. Breakfast is extensive and very enjoyable.

Too many feral cats and so much cat poop leads to lots of flies.

Very spacious room. Close to gas, convenience stores, and fast food. Good shower. Movable desk and nice chair. Freezer compartment in refrigerator. Nice ice machine by the pool. Good breakfast. Convenient parking near rooms.

Pool was closed for maintenance even though it was really hot and would have been nice to get in. Air conditioner made loud rattling sound.

The pool was closed. The grounds need some work. Also, there is a rendering plant a couple miles away that had the scent drift our way. The breakfast was good and the breakfast staff was very friendly.
