I had to stay overnight on a business trip. I figured there would be decent hotels near a military base. Indeed. Very nice Holiday Inn Express. Great design. Common areas nicely designed and the room lovely. Bed was super comfortable. Shower was pretty good ADA although they should have at least one grab bar. Reception staff gave me great advice for a nice bistro next door for dinner.

I paid more to stay at this Holiday Inn Express because they had hot breakfast as there are very few decent restaurants in the area (just McD etc). And low and behold there was a sign on the hot area of breakfast saying 'we have a technical problem with kitchen, so no hot breakfast". I should have gotten a discount for that.

There was an excellent breakfast with fresh pancakes omelettes and sausage plus more. Late at night, the front desk staff printed out an event ticket for me. The location of the hotel has beautiful views of the mountains. The room was comfortable perfectly quiet and very clean. There was plenty of hot water and good pressure in the shower. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the room was large.

All the TV's in the lobby played FOX news. We hate FOX news. Seeing the anchors on Fox news puts the entire family in a bad mood and makes us feel that the hotel management dislikes minorities like us and don't really want us to visit.

This hotel is great! It's built just three years ago and you can see it everywhere! It's super fresh, well designed, and it's well managed. Fitness, pool, everything with fresh towels, good breakfast and perfect lobby space with charging ports everywhere. I'm surprised it's listed as 3*, it's better and prettier than many 4* I visited.

Movement sensors for light and AC, require some awareness, but not a big thing at all.

Immaculately clean! A very comfy bed and a strong AC made for fabulous sleep! The furniture in the room was also really great--including a built in luggage counter as opposed to the usual flimsy luggage racks you see at other hotels. The woman at the front desk who checked us in (I totally forgot her name) was exceptional! Very kind and informative.

This is a great hotel for business or when travelling with families. Staff were really lovely and gave us a great recommendation for a local event which added fun to our short stay. The community is very friendly.

The breakfast options were very processed and there were no caffeine free organic tea options such as peppermint tea or camomile tea. Unfortunately I had to leave on an empty stomach in the morning even though breakfast was included.

This hotel is pretty new so everything was SO clean and they have done a good job maintaining it. Rooms were spacious and bright. There were little hangers for purses (or hats or whatever) in the foyer of the room, space to store luggage, a nice big bathroom, mini kitchenette with a microwave. Pillows were marked "soft" and "firm" which was nice :) very friendly and professional staff, Sierra was so nice and helped us with our check in. If we're back in the area, we will definitely stay there again. Breakfast was good, too! Lots of options for everyone.

Holiday Inn Express as a company (this is NOT a criticism of the Ridgecrest location) has music playing 24/7 at all of their hotels which actually violates their own quiet hours policy. The staff has no control over the volume and can't turn it off. Our room was right above it and it was so annoying. The night shift lady who was very empathetic offered to move us but it was like 3am or something so I said it was ok. Holiday Inn needs to shut the music down from 11pm to 7am. Arg.

The hotel is beautiful. Amenities are fantastic, had everything you would need. The breakfast was what you would expect at American hotels. So nothing surprising there.

Some shaded parking would've been ideal since the city was so hot. Also a lot of the parking spots said EV parking but there were no chargers available.

The room was very comfortable, spacious and modern. It was clear that the hotel is new. The facilities, including the swimming pool and the gym, were nice and clean. The location was convenient to have a stopover between Californian coast and Nevada.

The breakfast was a bit basic and it was a it a bit disappointing to see that only disposable cutlery, plates and cups were available. For a modern hotel, we would expect something more eco-friendly.

Everything was good, breakfast was very good.

My only problem was the DirectTV channels. There's not much to do in Ridgecrest but watch TV and the hotel offered the worse selection of 42 channels only. In the lobby they have over 300 channels but in the rooms nothing.

First things first, staff was superfriendly and helpful. We arrived late and in need for a room for 5 and they did all they could to accommodate us and they did so quickly. Rooms were spacious, spotless and beds were crisp and comfy.
