Loved the location, it was a new location for us as we normally stay closer to the centre of Waikiki near the Duke Statue but late booking saw us stay here at the Aqua Palms Waikiki and we're glad we did as the change showed us a fair bit more of Waikiki that we had been missing! Directly across the road is the Hawaiian Hilton Village you get to access all the shops/restaurants/bars in there and the nearby Hale Koa Hotel bar as well which was fab but it's also close to what we only just discovered food truck area which was fab for some casual dinners. The Trolley stop is also just outside the door of the hotel which was also very helpful when getting around. The staff were also very accommodating, we had an issue with our room after the first night and they were great with accommodating us to another room which caused a mix up with cleaning but we got that sorted and the cleaning staff were great in communicating with us.

For the value there wasn't much to fault, the hotel is dated but it had everything we needed and wanted. If I was to be picky, the lifts take forever but that's expected when the hotel is full. Also to note, it's on a pretty busy main road so the traffic noise is pretty loud and when motorbikes come by it's pretty up there but after a couple of nights it didn't bother me and i'm a light sleeper. The ducks and roosters across the road though....they got me but it's nature and also was a laugh having roosters in the city wake you!

One of the better locations, it is across the street from Hilton Hawaian Village. You don't get a view of the beach, but it is still a great location. The Hotel restaraunt is IHOP, staying there gets you 15% off your meals at that IHOP. I have stayed many times in the Aqua Palms, first time since Covid. I really like the staff and the location. Both are great.

They do have parking (you do pay by the day). Checking into the hotel with a car can be tricky, it is on a busy 3 lane road and there isn't any parking in front, so you end up block one lane of traffic in order to checkin. Parking is in the first 3 floors above the lobby and IHOP. There is also renters in the building who have reserved parking places, so make sure you do not park in a reserved spot or rick being towed.

All of the above! The location was perfect. Walking distance to beach and shopping was a big plus...

Parking was quite expensive. If parking garage was full you were instructed to use a public parking facility about 3 mins away. This was very disconcerting for a solo woman traveler.

I liked it. I was ready for a typical 3 stars hotel but this one is better. You are close to the ocean and everything. Right across the street from Hilton Village at a much affordable price. Honestly I cannot fault it. The staff goes beyond. I was treated better than in a 5star hotel in NYC where I went after Hawaii. Worth the try.

Not much. It was great

The room was exceptional. Bed was comfortable and it was a great size. You also get beach towels each day which was really handy, and the laundry was easy to use and good quality machines. Location is a short walk to Ala Moana beach and mall, and also into the main part of Waikiki. So you get the best of both sides. Plus the Hilton was right across the road which gives you access to a great beach and shops. Parking was handy and affordable. Staff were friendly. Pool was clean and deck chairs comfortable. They also schedule cleaning of your room with you which was helpful. There were good tv channels and DVDs that you could choose from for free which is a fun touch.

The gym was a bit sparse. But other than that it was good to have something.

Great location: within walking distance to the beach, convention center, and right next to a convenience store and several places to eat. There's also a bus going to the airport that stops right next to the hotel. Spacious and comfortable room. I had a bathtub and balcony in mine. However the state of the rooms seems to vary a lot, as the people I was traveling with got much worse rooms & no balcony.

Wifi was very mediocre, it's public & non-secure and slow. The room cleaning is every 2nd day and they request that you stay out of your room from 9am to 3pm. This is a bit inconvenient if you're in and out of the hotel a lot. There's no breakfast at the hotel. However I can recommend Tropical Tribe on the same street. The elevators are super slow. So you need some patience to get in and out of your room. The pool is very small and not meant for swimming. There's a travel agent in the lobby which is quite pushy with trying to sell you tours. Instead I can highly recommend just taking the public bus and visiting the island that way.

The 1st room was kinda of like being pushed into a broom closet- asked to be moved and had no problems, the 2nd room had a nice sized couch So we did like the accommodation.

The 1st room was super small and had no balcony. I think it was too much bed for the size of the room maybe a queen would be just fine.

The location of this property was excellent. The proximity to the beach is fantastic, and we had a partial view of the ocean and view of Diamond Head from our balcony! Loved it!

Through no fault of the hotel, I found the street noise to be very loud. Especially bothersome at night when cars blared their sound systems without any consideration for anyone, and mufflerless cars and noisy motorcycles drove by. If you go to Waikiki, maybe you expect a noisy environment but we definitely appreciate a more peaceful atmosphere. We stayed for just under 2 weeks and although the pool was closed during the day time hours (for construction?)during the week days, my husband said that the pool was too cold to use and I didn’t get into the pool once. Maybe a hot tub would be nice?! Also, there wasn’t any shade pool-side on the deck. Maybe umbrellas were taken down during the construction? I was disappointed in the non access to the water!

Location was great and very reasonable price compared to others in the area. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean. We had a really early flight into Honolulu and they were amazing at accommodating us for an early check in as soon as they were able to. The DVD rental was a cute touch, easy to grab beach towels, and staff were mostly friendly (the woman that checked us in was fantastic, some of the others could be hit or miss though).

Nothing specifically we didn’t like but will point out that it’s a 3 star so you get what you paid for - the bathrooms could do with a refresh, the pool is small, the gym was non existent (treadmill out of service leaving a bike and a few dumbbells).

The location was across the street from the Hilton, which is where my conference was. The staff was very friendly. The hot water was abundant! And, they communicated about cleaning services and checkout via text. The beds were comfy!

It was dated. Duct tape on the floor of the elevator, worn (but clean) bedding, and the balcony doors were hard to close/let in sound.
