This was our third stay and we have loved it every time. The atmosphere of the lodge is so cozy and quiet. The room was very spacious, comfortable and well kept. We liked that there were plenty of lights and outlets in the room. Also loved the large jetted tub and the bathrobes too! The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The room (202) was very nice however our reservation stated we had a river view room so we assumed we were on the river side of the lodge. This was not the case as our room was on the end of the building (not on the river side) and had a very small view of the river that you could only see by standing in the corner of the room and looking out the window around the side of the building. Other than the room description being a little misleading, the room was great!

The ambiance of the lodge was so quaint. The room was very spacious and comfortable and incredibly clean. It was probably one of the best nights sleep I had in a long time. The bathroom had a large jacuzzi tub. There was plenty of natural light because of the large windows. For breakfast we were given a voucher for the local bakery. That breakfast was delicious and filling. This was perfect location.

The only thing I didn't like was the shower head. Yes, silly, but it was hard to rinse my hair because the lack of water pressure and calcium build up on the shower head.

While breakfast was served in their restaurant in town, the food was great and our waitress was really something special, and served our youngest a truly eye-popping platter of (absolutely delicious) biscuits and gravy. We stayed in one of the log cabins which had a large sleeping loft for the parents and a nice 2-bed room for the kids. We used the ready-to-go woodstove and turned off the heater for a really nice evening. Good hot water for the shower. An osprey was raising a family in a bent tree behind the main lodge which was cool to watch. 5-minute walk to the river from here.

No real view of the river from the cabin, and upper bedroom got a surprising amount of early morning road noise. Not much to do in the area in mid-April, so some more paths or a larger spot along the river to sit or picnic would have been good.

My husband and I enjoyed our one-night stay at the lodge. The room was spacious & comfortable, and the view over the river to the ridge from our second floor room was lovely. A recent snowstorm made the steep drive up to the lodge a bit uncertain, but our Subaru handled it just fine. The lodge has lots of common area space, with games and places to sit, and is pleasantly decorated. Breakfast (included in the room rate) at the bakery in town was ample and very good. We can recommend Hearthstone Elegant Lodge and would definitely stay there again.

The rooms have a very pleasant uniqueness.Much thought has gone into the decor.it has a nice rustic appeal.we have been twice and stayed in 2 different rooms.enjoyed them both.We will come again.A sweet older couple own and manage it.you are out of town but not far.

The exterior grounds are a bit primitive and the driveway up to the facility off of the highway is a little steep,dusty and rough.But not a game changer.

Breakfast at the Hearthstone Restaurant was very good. The lodge was a significant step up from the usual hotel/motel experience. Just the right balance between vintage decor and modern conveniences. the antique furnishings and classiic-style architecture made one feel transported to a more relaxed time. A quiet location and friendly people.

The driveway could use some smoothing.

10/10 recommend!!! The hotel is beautifully designed and makes for the perfect getaway or staycation if you’re a local. The room was big and spacious, with two exit door access, either into the main hotel, or outside to the veranda overlooking the Clearwater River. The bathroom has a pretty large tub with hot tub jets (me and my partner both fit in it comfortably). They also offered us a free breakfast from the local bakery. Also because we went during their “slower” season, im pretty sure we were the only ones in the entire building. Although they don’t have a front-desk person through the night, they made sure to be accessible to us in the event we needed anything. The gentlemen who checked us in was super polite, and helpful while getting us familiar with the place. I definitely will go back! And recommend it to anyone who is looking for a little getaway in the mountains for relaxation and beautiful scenery.

There is nothing I can think of, to be honest.

I have stayed at upscale hotels like The Benson, in Portland and the Westin in Seattle. This lodge is every bit as elegant. The rooms are spacious, clean and elegantly furnished. The breakfast, in downtown Kamiah is very good. Rolf was especially congenial and informative when checking in. A little out of the way but definitely a great place to stay. We will be returning customers whenever the opportunity arises!!

The driveway is easily missed but that’s the only negative.

The Hearthstone Lodge is an excellent, newer facility two miles north of Kamiah along the Clearwater River. The rooms are very spacious and there's a large common area for sitting. The room also had a jacuzzi tub which was a nice surprise. Their breakfast is served at their restaurant in town which offers full menu of options.

Nothing comes to mind, it was all good.

Our stay was everything you could hope for. We loved the location, in the woods with an expansive view of the river. Everything was spacious and relaxing. The double jet tub is a must! This place will change your perception of affordable luxury. We highly recommend it.

We didn't like that we did not Reserve another night to explore the area.
