This historic hotel is a true gem. Located on a historic cattle transfer station, it is now a favorite breakfast place for motorcyclists and small-engine-airplane pilots alike. Planes taxi right up to the restaurant. Food is excellent, be it breakfast or their steak dinners. The staff goes out of their way to make sure you have a good time. Service is excellent. The ambience is unique. Do not miss the last saturday of the month Karaoke, it is a hoot. We love this place and we keep coming back.

Historic hotel in very small, old town. Strong aviation and cow-town decor. Cafe is open only a few days/week and there are no other services around town though there are just a short distance away. Communication with innkeeper was great and she left a key for me. Like stepping back in time. Room was comfortable and clean. I would definitely stay here again

Cafe wasn’t open on the day I was there but there was a cafe 15 mins away in another small town

I love that it is a historical site with lots of history. I would love to go back again and stay longer! I really liked that our complimentary breakfast was actually in the cafe and we order from the menu and then just sign and add room number to the ticket!

Loved the quiet location. It was very peaceful and the perfect place to chill for a few days whilst on my motorcycle trip across the USA. The owner was very helpful, and after initially only planning the one night there, I ended up stayed for 3.👍😃

What did I like: The history of the hotel. The slightly off-the-beaten-path location. Being able to see the stars at night. The quiet. And the comfortable room and bed.

For me, it was what I was looking for, all was wonderful.

The breakfast was well prepared, reasonably priced and very tasty. Wait staff were great. Hotel is a treasure of the Midwest. Upgraded room at no charge.

WOW...what a dump, The hotel was CLOSED, had to wait 30 minutes for someone to come open the front door for me, gave me a room around the outside corner, that was about the worst room I have stayed in in the US. I would NOT recommend this dump to anyone...PERIOD !
