The staff were friendly. For breakfast, they have a waffle maker, scrambled eggs, sausage and gravy and sausage links, various dry cereals, a couple of yogurt flavors, apples, oranges, breads, English muffins, bagels, juices and coffee. Some of the fixtures were old/rusty, like the towel rack but the room was clean and comfortable. We did not go to the "Irish Pub" It is small and we were told by a couple of locals that the food is good. The bartender DID lend us a set of salt & pepper for the few days we were there. The front desk lady gave us 15% coupon in case we did.

This has NOTHING to do with Ivey's but we do NOT recommend the Elm Tree Diner or either Chinese Food places.

I was put into a room on the highway side. I'm a light sleeper. When I asked the front desk if I could change to an inside room, the receptionist was happy to offer a different room immediately. Later, when I wanted to take a bath, I could not push the lever to lower the stopper. I know this common problem. I've fixed this in my own house. However, it was 9pm, so the receptionist said that she would not be able to get a plumber until the morning. But she was more than happy to call room service to help us move to an equally lovely room next door, even though we had already pulled down the bed sheets. I decided that a shower would be good enough for this one night. However I appreciated the flexibility and courtesy of the staff.

Different staff, chris, it was absolutely fantastic and honestly made the stay at that motel, really the experience. The motel was musty, so it was clean and orderly. He was helpful. The studios prompt with breakfast. And most friendly, that's part of that stay.

The room had an odor of old smoke. Probably from when people were allowed to smoke in hotels, as I'm sure that motel has been there for a long time. Everything else honestly was truly fantastic. Great location, perfect staff. It's accommodating good value

Check in was very smooth and I like the technology of not having to sign all of your initials on the lines . I know it seems like a silly thing to like but I thought it was great and a good update.

I only had a small issue but it was very minor and was corrected right away. If I could make a suggestion though I would recommend either upgrading handicap rooms to family size or at the very least getting a couple of portable shower seats. It was difficult to take a shower without the aid.

The handicapped accessible king bed room was large and had a leather love seat as well as a table and two comfortable chairs seating area. The bed was very comfortable. The AC unit was fairly quiet and kept the room at a comfortable temperature. The hot breakfast was OK, but the scrambled eggs were not that great.

I did not like that the facility does not have cable TV which means there are no local stations or NESN available. They have ROKU smart TV's and you either watch free internet based ROKU TV or if you have a streaming service at home, then I guess you could sign in to it here. I asked the clerk about it when checking out, and I was told that they "spent nearly $50,000 the previous year for cable, so they went to internet based ROKU only". In my opinion this should be a cost of doing business, the same as offering a complimentary hot breakfast is, or free internet access. I mean, the room cost nearly $200 with tax in Houlton, Maine.

This was our third stay at this motel. We originally found it on Booking.com and we were very impressed with the staff, the cleanliness, the temperature of the room, and the breakfast the next morning. On our second visit all of these were as exceptional as the first time. On our third stay, the staff recognize us and do make our stay so memorable. The location is right of the Interstate I-95 in the heart of Houlten.

I have nothing to complain about this motel.

The breakfast was good and tasty and was very excellent for an included breakfast. The check in process was easy. The staff were more than accommodating. The clean up staff we encountered were kind and helpful. The location has many amenities in that area. We enjoyed it so much, we returned and spent a total of 3 nights over two visits. This was a definite return to place to stay.

No complaints.

Large room. Comfortable bed. Great breakfast. Friendly staff. Easy access from highway. Very close to Canadian border for ease of crossing. Loved having a great pub restaurant attached for easy dinner after a long day of travel.

Handicapped bath was large but water ran out onto the floor, soaking everything. Also, the cleaning agent used left a very strong smell that made breathing a bit uncomfortable.

I stayed here 3 nights and loved it. They also have a full bar and Bistro, both of which served me well. Walmart just across the street. I strongly recommend this motel.

Can't think of anything they could do better, although the weather was pretty crappy while I was there.

Houlton is a nice little town at the Canadian border. Room had everything, breakfast was okay. Window opened.

Rooms are a little dated, very noisy AC unit.
