Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Room was simple and fridge was unexpectedly a nice size. Dog-friendly area with bags for easy cleanup. Even though the room was not up-to-date, it did what we needed: provided a less expensive way to explore the Porcupine Mountains. I suggest bringing your own bedding and towels/wash cloths. We did, and I was grateful to have thought ahead.

Room could use some work in the bathroom. The door wouldn't close all the way, and then it stuck. We had to use our full body weight to get it open even though it wasn't closed fully. We woke each other up and startled each other after each bathroom use. The bottom of the shower looks like it's rotting, maybe even moldy (but I didn't scrape at it to find out).

the breakfast was not served at 6:30 as indicated, so we lost out on that. The room was good; the motel is well used and could use some additional maintenance.

The bathroom wasn't totally cleaned! But we got in there kinda late so we were just tired and happy to have a comfortable bed! And the lady came and cleaned the bathroom the next morning and apologized!

We were so late getting in - it was one of those days. Staff was kind, understanding, and let us check in at a ridiculous hour.

Lovely room in a great location. Good value and very clean. Very helpful and friendly staff. I booked for 2 nights but added another. Plenty to do.

The price was right for Timberline Lodge - just needed an affordable bed to sleep on, a roof over our heads, and a hot shower after a long day of adventure. Jennifer, the owner, went above and beyond, and we are beyond grateful for her kindness and local adventure suggestions :)

Although we didn't expect to watch any TV, we did end up watching the Packers game (Hulu Live was provided with our stay), but the TV speaker had a mind of its own and stopped working every so often. The visitors next to us on our last night were a bit rowdy around 3 A.M, otherwise no issues!

No blankets in the room. Only a sheet on the bed under the comforter (Which I was always told not to use as a blanket, yuck!)
