The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Called me to keep me updated on my check-in due to me arriving late in the day I arrived and let me know about the new keys since I had two separate reservations. The room was nice and big, had a mini-fridge, kerig, K-cups, and such. Was super impressed by the pump hand soap in the bathroom and large dispensers for the Shampoo, Conditioner and body wash.

There was a smell to the room when I arrived. Luckily I had some good smelling body spray with to cover it up. The AC unit was a little weird, seemed to work but was very loud. I think that's where the musty smell came from.

We enjoyed our stay at the mountain inn. The staff were very friendly when we were checking in and out. The location was wonderful, and easy to get to.

The only thing that I found a little odd about the room was that there were no drawers. There were a few shelves you could put things on, but no drawers. The other thing that I would maybe comment on is that there wasn't a lot of hanging space either. So if you were planning on staying there for a length of time, it felt strange to not have any place to put things away.

Everything… my room was so clean which is important to me, bed was very comfortable, towels were soft, not scratchy at all, the people at front desk were so helpful & nice to talk to, the front room was so relaxing & inviting to sit in and I read by fireplace for awhile, the little food room next to the office was great as if you needed something it was there and I liked the little shop room out front also (even though I didn’t buy anything). I would stay again if I ever come back up again.

Everything was perfect… nothing that I saw as you exceeded my expectations.

Our way night stay was perfect for our family of 4 (2 young kids) when travelling through on our way from Terrace Bay to Minneapolis. Not far from the main road. Stayed during the weekend so no staff seen, but the system with the envelope works really well. The pantry is a great idea and it was perfect to buy a few items for breakfast. Really liked that we could pick up a s'mores package at the lodge across the street and the live music there and fire show etc. was a great addition!! C

I think the total price ($ 270,- for one night) was a bit steep for the room.

Everything except the pillows, the mattress wasn't my favorite either. But LOVED the stocked pantry options. The room has been redone well. It is very comfortable. Night light in the bathroom. Great touches.

Pillows. The mattress was a little bit hard, but the person with me thought the mattress was great. Both agree the pillows were not good though.

Pleasantly surprised at how clean & well kept the room was, with very friendly, helpful staff. Conveniently located, within walking distance from the rest of the Lutsen Mountain activities. We even got a voucher for a free s’mores kit, a total hit with the kids! Peaceful setting, convenient, short drive from Grand Marais. We will stay here again.

Breakfast was not included in the package though they did have provisions in the pantry. We enjoyed a nice hot coffee in the morning. The room had basic facilities. The sheets and towels were very clean. The beds comfortable. Our kids enjoyed winding down in the evening with some tv.

There was a microwave in the room however there were no glasses. Probably 2 cups/mugs per room would be suggested. Also , do mention that you do not provide microwavable plates/ dishes and guests need to bring these along if they want to use the microwave in the room.

Clean, comfortable facility and the staff was awesome. Friendly and helpful people behind the desk.

The room could have had better lighting and there were no outlets by the bed. Small details but they would be nice to have.

Really wasn’t a breakfast but the coffee was good and we brought our own bread to toast .

No real included breakfast, for the price should have at least provided a continental breakfast since one had to drive to eat breakfast. At one time it was required if one couldn’t walk to a breakfast place.

We loved the location, the feeling of being close to nature, hiking, and delicious foods/shops. We really wanted to visit the winery down the hill, but there was so much to do, we didn't have time! The fridge was cold, and the shower was hot! The kids loved the hammocks, and the relaxing atmosphere was just what we needed!

The air conditioner was loud and made a weird ticking noise that woke us up a few times during the night, but it wouldn't deter us from staying again!
