The lobby is very nice, warm & welcoming. The breakfast was excellent every day! Waffles, eggs, various breads, yogurt, fruit were available every day, and coffee was always available. This hotel is in a very good location along a busy North Shore highway.

This is a 2-story hotel with no elevator, not good for seniors! The bed pillows were poor. No options for soft/medium/firm although an automated response indicated we could get them. No housekeeping service at all during our 3-day stay.

They had good breakfast and a pool

When we got there they were having issues with their hot water heaters. I needed to take a shower and the water didn’t stay warm long enough for me to wash my hair. We still had to pay the full amount. There was five of us and one of our grandkids had to sleep on the floor because they didn’t have cots. I learned my lesson next time there is all five of us to make sure the hotel has a pull out couch.

Typical motel room - serious lack of outlets where you need them, and many of the existing outlets are inaccessible. Breakfast staff did a good job, but the facilities were lacking. Small setup. People bumping each other and stepping in front of people walking down the hallway. A living room setup rarely used that would be better used for more dining space. And lastly, didn't have biscuits and gravy!!!

The hotel staff was superb! They were so helpful and friendly. There were lots of options for breakfast and I think anyone could find something to eat, regardless of dietary restrictions. Room was clean and newly upgraded. OH! And, since I know that I wish I knew, there are no smells! Some people have scent issues and there were no smells of perfumes, chemicals, or rank nastiness detected!

Well, the only thing we weren't really fans of were the newly upgraded sinks. figuring out how to lift the drain plug was a fun challenge! But we finally figured out that you just push on it and it pops right up! Then we started thinking about what one might be wading through in the water in order to perform that function and it got less fun to think about! :-) But, hey, it was REALLY a great stay!

Convenient location on our way to Grand Portage. Decent breakfast offering. Hot tub was nice after the long drive .

The area for pets had not been mowed and it rained during our stay which made for a awful time of constant time of wet dogs, wet shoes and socks, and wet pant legs from the tall grass

The place is clean, beds are comfortable, bathroom is spot clean. They were renovating few rooms but it wasnt that noisy since we were out during the day. Breakfast was ok and staff were nice.

The room was quite dark. We only had the 3 lamps lighting up the whole room besides the bathroom lights.. Should add some headboard lights and accessible extra wall outlets near the bed since my wall plug cant fit the one on the bedside lamp. Evertlything else was good otherwise!

Everything was clean and inviting

There needs to be a mirror in the room other than the vanity mirror -it was a really nice mirror, but for anyone who can't see without glasses, its impossible to use a mirror like that for putting makeup on or contacts in. The sink is too far out to make it feasible to lean closer to the mirror... There needs to be a mirror on a wall that you can get really close to. :)

Good and helpful staff at a good breakfast. Close to gas and snack offerings. Close to Bluefin for very good if pricy food.

Had a bad experience with renting a room in April offering me a discount to match another lower lodging. Did not read small print about this meaning no refunds, So I am out nearly $2000 and had to accept their last room at $1100 which made for aa real downer on my trip.

This hotel was clean. The beds were comfy. Breakfast was good. The patio was a great space to sit with a beautiful view.

The hotel could use a little updating. The patio could use more furniture.

It was a nice stay. The rooms were clean and included a fridge for our water and snacks. We enjoyed the hot tub after a day of sightseeing. This hotel is a great value for a room on the North Shore. It was close to the Lutsen Gandola and other sights. We'll stay again. The breakfast was a good start to the day.

There wasn't anything to complain about.
