Clean and comfortable at a reasonable rate. Conveniences I really appreciated were a fridge, microwave, and hair dryer in our room. There were a couple of vending machines available as well as coffee and water by the front desk. I thought the free breakfast was more than adequate and we had no complaints about it whatsoever. One small detail I appreciated was a board of employees, including housekeeping, in the lobby.

There was an odd smell in the hallway the evening we checked in. It dissipated by the next morning but was replaced with a strong fragrance that was a little unpleasant. This was not, however, an issue in our room.

Very clean and well maintained. Staff was friendly, but not pushy. Full sized towels were a bonus and the beds were decently comfortable. Lots of pillows. Didn't use the pool, but it also looked very clean and well maintained.

The bright white fluorescent lights! I had a migraine while I was there and there wasn't a single lamp or light that didn't have the bright white light. I went out the next day and bought some nightlights so we could have something else to use. The only other thing is don't plan on taking a shower while someone else is sleeping because the water hitting the tub is loud.

The room was very comfortable and clean. When I checked in, the receptionist was able to switch our reservation from a 2nd floor room to a 1st floor room since there is no elevator. The location was perfect because it was close to the highway. I would've preferred they not use styr0foam cups for the coffee since my husband and I don't drink coffee out of styrofoam cups.

For some reason, when the room next door used their shower, the noise from the pipes was deafening. We couldn't even hear the TV because it was so loud. There may be no way to fix that since it's likely a facilities issue.

The overall color and decor is pleasing and comfortable, you feel yourself unwinding immediately as you enter. You want to take a deep once inside because you know it will help the bustle and grime of the long day dissipate. Our room was the same, an unwinding tone and very comfortable beds. Quiet at our end of hall, effective room darkening curtains were nice! Ample variety of breakfast items, too! Staff friendly and I appreciated their eye contact when conversing- we were valued. Even the room staffers were courteous and, again, looked at you as an important guest. For the first time in years I heard someone humming a sweet melody while preparing a room for the next guest!

At first I was thinking I'd miss the "coffeemaker in the room" perk, but unless it's a good coffee brand and a kureig machine, we are usually better off just going to the breakfast room. So, we really can't say "we didn't like" not having that perk.

We were very happy with the accomodations and the room. It was easy to get in and out of as well as getting to and from the room. Breakfast was nice with a varied selection. You could not say they didn't try to cover all the bases.

I got very concerned when checking out, though, as they said the payment has not gone through. After some searching, she found why and that it had gone through. Also, trying to pay the pet deposit in cash was a little aggravating. I wanted to pay in cash but when the gal ran my card, she only charged it for one night and we stayed two. So I still had to pay the fee and clear that mix up. That was a little maddening and was able to pay that in cash.

I loved the location, very easy to get in and out of. Check in was easy and front desk was friendly. I noticed lots of cameras in the hallways which I loved so I felt safe staying there while traveling solo. The room was very clean, pillows were soft, bathroom was spacious. My room had a small fridge and microwave as well. There was a big breakfast room that had waffles, biscuits and gravy and oatmeal. I had to be back on the road so I just grabbed a muffin. There was seating in the lobby to eat as well.

Breakfast was somewhat above normal for modest motels. There was fresh cooked biscuits and gravy. Coffee and orange juice and normal motel breakfast fare. The shower was excellent and HVAC capable and quiet. There beds were clean and comfortable. The room actually had two chairs.

Sound insulation between floors was poor. We could hear people walking about from the floor above.

Very clean. Comfy beds. Breakfast was o.k., but being GF (gluten free) I could have an apple, banana, or yogurt. Possibly could have had crisp rice cereal, but the label was not available to know.

Please, please make ingredient labels available to guests. There are many people with various food limitations you would help. No one wants to get sick when you're away from home. Norfolk hotel rates are pretty high compared to other towns the same size - be ready for sticker shock!

The rooms are very small and breakfast is only cereal bad coffee and granola bars. They had a self serve waffle machine but syrup and mix were not tasty. Also I stayed 3 days and they will come knocking on my door 9am to see if I wanted the room to be cleaned that to early, I head out of the hotel @10 I did wanted my room clean but they only clean at 9am.

The staff were extremely friendly - both night and day staff. I called the day I booked to make sure my reservation went through and they made sure to call me back to assure me they received it.

I was just hoping for more from the breakfast. But it was still a decent breakfast spread. I was hopeful for any eggs or meat but there was only biscuits and gravy, a waffle maker, and then the cold items.
