Keeping in mind that this is a 1 star property you shouldn't expect to much. However, the owner was very helpful and is doing his best to maintain the property on a limited budget while reserving the property for travelers vs long term residents. Our stay was quiet with no complaints. The best restaurant in town is inside the El Capitan Casino located one block to the west. Don't forget to tour the Hawthorne Ordnance Museum if you have time.
The A/C was a little under powered but did the job after a few hours with the help of a fan.

I thought this place was awesome. The owner who is also the clerk was very professional. The price for a king-size room was fantastic. The room was spacious, very clean, and had all the amenities of a high-end hotel. The place is old, but the cinder block walls allow for a very quiet night without having to hear the noise from the next room. If you are in Hawthorne for work or just passing through and need a good night's sleep this is the best in town.

Super awesome people that work there or run it! Kind people, which is huge for me! It’s an older place and you can tell but I still really liked it. Quiet and lots of room! Nice lil upgrades they are doing like indirect lighting behind the TV and a fancy full length light up mirror. Can’t say enough how fabulous the people that were running it were 🫶

The holiday lodge itself is an old and dated building. But, the room was clean, the bed was comfortable, There is a microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot and a television. And the staff went out of their way to make sure that your stay was a good one. The water pressure was great. However, the shower head in OUR room could use replacing.
There is no swimming pool. The toilet paper... Staying here was the first time I ever saw toilet paper that was not perforated into squares. They were cut shorter into rectangles. 😂 It was not soft, my wife says it was more on the rough side and considered using the Kleenex.

Great service...upon check in we were taken to our room and shown how the ac worked, turned on lights, etc. Fridge was very cold and microwave and coffee pot were newer. It was a very comfortable room. Definitely better than our last stay 2 years ago. Thrilled to get a room at a fair price during the busiest time of year in town.
Water went from hot to cold while showering. They did tell us that the bathrooms were the next upgrade.

If you are looking for a vintage and authentic motel experience, this is the right place! The room was cozy and quiet. Staying there felt like being in a cult movie. The position in good if you are doing an “on the road trip” on the Eastside of the Sierra Nevada. The host was very kind and helpful. We found this place to be much more interesting than the many touristy places around the Sierras.

The room was nice. The room had a really nice refrigerator, microwave and TV. The bed was comfortable and the area was quiet. I was able to leave the key at the front desk very early in the morning.
The sink drained very slowly. You can tell the furniture was dated, but in good condition.

it is in a small city and I think that the city is not a big mega city so, understand that everything seemed old. It didn't matter to me at all. Front desk was kind and most good thing to me was there is a balcony where I could drink coffee on. sipping a coffee watching cozy small town in dessert was fantastic.

We stayed there twice. On the way to Las Vegas and on the way back. The first room had a faulty lock. We were immediately given another room. It was fine. It is a dated motel but clean and very serviceable. We would definitely stay there again.

Very clean and spacious. I would stay there again. For a cheap motel, it was good. Stayed there in July, and it was very quiet. Just passing through from the Yosemite area to NE nevada. Air conditioning worked very well.
