This place deserves more that a mere "good." It is superb. It is a renovated 3 story hotel. I don't know how, but I was on the 3rd floor during a heat wave and the room was still cool. It is right next to the town of Inlet, where there are restaurants, but everybody who wants a real meal eats at the Woods Inn. The porch dinning with the view of the lake is fantastic and should not be missed. Someone spent some time and thought on the wine list, which feature wines from the Finger Lakes, from Australia and and all over the world. To be able to get a perfectly chilled glass of wine like that while overlooking beautiful 4th lake . . . this is a world-class experience . . . to be in the Fulton Chain of Lakes drinking chilled wine. Frisky Otter Tours, attached to the property, has a superb selection of kayaks. This is just a fantastic place to rejuvenate in nature and enjoy all the Adirondacks has to offer while at the same time not having to sleep on the ground in a grungy Lake George motel. It is a romantic place too. They do weddings, and they have unbelievable sunsets. They have just done an outstanding job with this hotel, it is a gem of the Adirondacks. Superb Wifi. I could work from the porch while looking at the lake and getting a cool breeze. Electrical outlets on the porch.

There is nothing I did not like about it. I really cannot think of a thing I did not like about it. The owners are doing a spectacular job.

Beautiful location on the lake. Very well kept grounds and always a comfortable spot to sit, relax, and enjoy the views. Location couldn’t be better. You can come, park your car and walk a few steps into the hamlet on Inlet to shops, restaurants, park area, etc.

Can’t say there was anything we did not like. However, it would be nice to have a small refrigerator in the room to keep water, left over food we have from restaurants visited, etc. Also a shelf or small table in the bathroom to place toiletries on.

We had dinner once in the dining room and once on the porch. Both excellent. Waitstaff very lively!

The bed was super hard! No mini fridge for storing left left overs and beverages. It was lovely that we were provided with a fan for sleeping, since no air conditioning. The zinn was beautiful, but sparsely equipped with perks. All the staff was wonderful, but a little challenging to contact. Sticking our toes in the sand after a long day was wonderful. Kind of a mixed review, but we enjoyed our stay.

Because we arrived in the middle of a snow storm we were the only customers staying. The staff was accommodating and made sure we were able to get out in the morning.

There was no indication on the website that the Woods Inn practically closed down in the winter months. We have stayed there before and enjoyed it, including the meals we had on site. While we we were glad to have accommodations for the night we were going to be in the area, I felt since we weren’t able to enjoy the full experience maybe we should have been given a discount.

I love old hotels and architecture and this was perfect fit for my daughter and I.

There wasn't any toilet paper in our bathroom. But went downstairs and get a roll. The flapper on the toilet would sometimes not work correctly. But these were very minor disruptions and easily fixed on my own.

Very nice anc cozy atmosphere. Rustic design. We loved it! Stacy was so wellcoming and went out of her way to make us satisfied with the room. She gave us a lot of information about the area. We took her advice and went to the Rocky Mountain Trail. It was amazing!

View, location, general atmosphere, chairs and porch seating, cleanliness of sheets and bathroom, (other than walls... needs good wash, paint and trim.) Food in the Tavern.

Hallway odor (carpet?) Weather was fine with no air conditioner this past week but each room should have one for the duration of the summer. Would have liked coffee and water in the sitting room. I noticed others had a brief tour upon arrival, I did not and wondered about additional coffee in room and towels.

Staff and owner were extremely kind professional and friendly. Don't forget to go to the middle door and downstairs for the delicious donuts, coffee news oh and the ice machine!

Driveway and grounds (not rooms) have an unusual slopped driveway, but then again you are in ADK lol..

it’s a great location, but they really need to do some maintenance on the property. We were in a room where we had to walk through path of weeds until we got to our door.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating! I enjoyed sitting by the beautiful lake and in the porch dining area and it was nice to be able to walk to shops and restaurants.
