Checking in was very easy, the staff were responsive and answered my call even after sundown. The bed was comfortable, the room had ample space for one person, and the amenities were nice. I stayed in the Ocotillo room and really appreciated the terrace space and tub, even though weather conditions were not friendly to being outside.

The outdoor lights are solar-powered, but unfortunately it rained and was cloudy all day so I had no light outside at night. Not much you can do to prevent that, but it would be nice to have an electric option.

Good choice of cable tv services. The room and grounds were clean and neat and the breakfast was good. We will be staying again if the circumstances arise.

I feel the price is very high but since it's the only lodging in town you really have no choice. Good ole capitalist monopoly! Cudos. The room had an overpowering aroma of cheap aftershave but after a couple of hours of airing it out it was fine. The Wifi shut down in the morning around 8:00 am.

Good affordable plays to stay if you aim to go to Big Bend Park, coming from the east. You can reach the park in approx. 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Room isn´t that big and it is kinda old. Most of the things are in a good condition. Walls are really thin so you can hear the people in the rooms next to yours getting up and you can hear cars outside passing by. Was okay for me, because i wanted to get up early.

The perfect location off of Hwy 90. The room, well kept and very clean. Comfortable beds. Upfront door parking. Receptionist....very nice and helpful. Will be traveling through next spring. Definitely plan staying there again. Very charming motel.

Everything was perfect - the staff went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable, the room was cozy and quiet, and the location on the edge of town was great for privacy. I am not sure if I will ever make it back to Sanderson, but if I do I will no doubt be staying at the Desert Air!

How nice the host was and very accommodating to all my needs. He even gave me a ride to the train platform. Thank you very much.

Need lighting in the shower area and also where the microwave is at. Also, they could use a ceiling fan in there.

Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. Great place to stay if you don't want to spend all the $$$ staying on Big Bend - and while the park is about an hour and a half drive away, it's honestly worth it to stay here.

Russel is great, always ready to help in any way he can. We've been three years in a row now and the hotel is better every year. It is and older hotel so as expected it is small but they are constantly improving to maximize comfort. And I hear they are considering a pool, that will be amazing in that west Texas heat!

As stated, it is small but there's nothing to do about that.

The check in process is bit difficult as the front desk person is never to be found and was a bit rude. The location is the middle of nowhere the food options are almost 1 hour away from everywhere. The water is very cold while taking shower.

Well appointed retro motel. Comfortable beds, good shower and water pressure, truly a delight. Great grilling /eating area under the big oak tree in the middle of the units. Sanderson is a nice little town, too.
