Exceptional service . Tan was our personal butler. From check in to check out Tan took care of everything with a perfect smile . We had special dietary requirements. Tan made sure they were taken care of all the time , even changing the cooking class menu for us . Tan speaks perfect English and sends us information about activities and all via WhatsApp. We loved : Room is spacious , with sofa and coffee table The Quality of the Spa - I have tested many massages everywhere , I had the lymphatic one here and my daughter the back /neck/shoulder . Never had a better one . Espresso coffee in room - excellent coffee in the restaurant . Amazing breakfast - served at your table when not too many guests . I tried the fitness room - all équipements were good - 2 running mats , 2 elliptics etc … .open 24/24 , AC functioning well … no excuses :-) Variety of activities on location and from location Beautiful lounge

Absolute luxury. We we treated in the garden suite with our own pool and a large well decorated set of rooms. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs;.going out of their way to point us to great local food and siteseeing. The location, on the Saigon river, under a tropical forest, was spectacular The whole retreat was designed to suit the setting. Whimsically like an elven realm. Wish we had more time to stay.

Everything was excellent

Peace and quiet, away from the bustling city if that’s the intent of your stay. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Had a late flight out, staff arranged a room for us to use, so we managed to get some work done while waiting to depart.

Wonderful luxury hotel! Service was top notch with friendly and attentive staff. The room was huge, tastefully decorated, and super comfortable. The included breakfast had a vast array of options which were all delicious. There were many activities such as yoga and meditation for guests but we sadly didn’t have time to attend them. Extras such as meals in the restaurant or drinks from the minibar were quite expensive but it’s what I would expect in the context. It’s a retreat away from Ho Chi Minh City, so requires a bit of travel to get in and out of the city but they provide a complimentary speed boat transfer to and from the city which was fun and convenient and means it feels pleasantly secluded.

The staff are really good and want to make your experience perfect The river view with pool is worth the money the rooms are stunning Linh the butler was exceptional, so was really proactive and precise is the service offered absolutely fantastic, she even checked on you on her days off

It’s hard to do a trip because of the hotels location outside of town then won’t pick you up and as a solo traveller a private trip was about $250 dollars But because the retreat was so special I was happy to finish my holiday this way and the speedboat into town only took 25 mins which was a great way to see the Saigon river

We arrived and within minutes a storm started. Yet it was even more beautiful and the staff totally unfazed and still delivered a great welcome. Service 10/10 - staff were impressive. Late check out given a gesture well received as we had a 9pm flight. Food was really good. We had Mia as our butler wow. She was exceptional. Made the last day of our 18 days travelling around Vietnam really great by being so attentive. It’s a lovely rustic jungle vibe it’s beautiful really glad we chose this place it felt incredible to stay here. One night wasn’t enough.

Tiny issue. Cold water. Water is in the room in lovely bottles. But no cold water in the fridge. The bottles they have can’t really fit in the fridge. Unless you put them with the booze shelf but would take a while to make cold. I really wanted cold water and on the morning I woke up up and didn’t want to request ice when I had just woke up. There was only had sparkling to purchase from minibar. No bottled water available to buy.

Resort was excellent. Staff were superb, in particular Nath who looked after us so well. It's location is a little far out so there is not a great deal around the resort (of similar quality), however the speed boat into the centre of town is quick (and great fun). Quality of food is excellent. Facilities in the villa were also excellent.

We were a little disappointed that the breakfast was a la carte some days (the buffet was excellent on the days it was on). A TV in the living room in the villa would have been nice. We did have a minor issue of a leak (rainy season) but it was sorted quickly.

If you want to enjoy the iconic but rather hectic city of Ho Chi Minh, but stay on a resort basis surrounded by tranquility and lush vegetation just outside of its rather polluted centre, this is the perfect hotel for you. Situated only half an hour from the airport by taxi, and providing a free speedboat guest shuttle service down the Saigon river into the heart of the city running multiple times a day taking 20 minutes, the hotel has it all covered. Rooms are modern and very Five Star in nature. We stayed in one of the hotel's pool villas immediately adjacent to the gentle trickle of the Saigon river. The room was huge and felt like sheer luxury. The hotel’s restaurant, also adjacent to the Saigon river, is outstanding. Whilst its menu doesn’t boast a shopping list-length choice of Vietnamese cuisine, the hotel's food (both Vietnamese and non-Vietnamese) nevertheless scores a comfortable 10 out of 10, featuring bespoke and delicious dishes. The breakfast buffet was as good as it gets too. Overall, staff hospitality couldn’t have been more welcoming and proactive. No problem, large or small, was too much trouble for them. Stylish rooms. just as depicted. Private balcony aspect. Pleasant dinning room overlooking the river. Good standard of food throughout. Great personal complimentary hotel motor boat launch into the city in the evening. Special thanks to Tran who was most kind throughout & posted on a personal item left in the room to our next hotel in another part of the country

We had a wonderful stay at An Lam Retreat Saigon. Nestled in nature by the riverside, this place is a true cocoon of serenity and calm. It was the perfect setting to relax, recharge, and fully enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. The staff were exceptional throughout our stay. A special thank you to our butler, Tran, who took amazing care of us — she was absolutely lovely, attentive, and always so helpful and kind. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts to the entire team for making our stay so special. You were all fantastic!
