Whilst perhaps a tad of a budget choice I was very happy with the Shamrock Hotel stay. The room ( upstairs - opening onto the verandah) was of good size and came with its own small onsuite with shower, basin and loo. It had good light and exhaust fan and the shower height and water pressure was terrific. Also as 6"3 and "stocky" the shower, while not large and roomy had enough room for me to be comfy showering - something that can not be counted on in many more expensive rooms Ive stayed at. The room was basic - but had I needed for a comfortable stay and the verandah turned out to be a lovely spot to sit in the evenings and chat. I personally found the bed too soft (but I like a rock hard bed). The in house restaurant but regular (tho good) country town chinese - well cooked and we enjoyed our meal. The bar downstairs was comfortable and had a nice vibe. We got parking outside the hotel on the main street each day and we found the staff friendly and very helpful. Good mobile reception in the room. Def. Recommended

Location was perfect, Parking right out the front of the room. The staff in the bar and the caretaker H was amazing. Couldn't fault anything. Chinese was great too.

Bed was quite uncomfortable from the electric blanket sticking into your shoulders, the Airconditioning unit was noisy and so was the exhaust fan in bathroom, might need to be changed over. The music out the back in the beer garden was very loud until 11.45pm.

The staff were very very kind. We had some trouble with our booking and the staff were extremely helpful and went beyond to help us even though it wasn’t their fault at all.

If you need a clean, warm, beautiful old pub experience- this is the place to stay. The music was loud into the night and wouldn’t recommend families stay there.

We loved it! The balcony was superb, and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting out there in the warm evening. The room was very comfortable and very clean, it was in the heart of town so easy to walk to breakfast in the morning. Downstairs in the hotel there was a Chinese Restaurant which was excellent. Our friends from overseas loved staying in an authentic Australian pub in an old country town.

Great little pub for an affordable overnight stay. Staff were fantastic. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. Off road parking was a bonus. Loved the big old verandah with seating outside my room

Hotel bedroom was one flight of stairs up. It opened to a large verandah. There were 2x tables sitting 6 each plus two single tables🎉

I was confused by the descriptions in the App. There are hotel and motel rooms.

Got a great laugh out of "it will get a bit nosy here if it rains". I'm thinking "tin roof" - dumb town boy ! It rained, it was a bit noisy - framers came to town/pub - can't harvest in the rain !

Simple, straightforward, no frills, clean and comfortable. This was a great place to stay a couple of nights - we'll happily stay here again.

There was nothing we didn't like. There was a bit of noise from the pub on our first night, but we fixed that by going and getting ourselves a nightcap in the bar and then we didn't notice it at all!

There was a breakfast station along the wall and had everything need but nothing flash yet better than the bakery few doors down lol we loved the age of the place very old school but clean and tidy and still had a balcony. The bar area was very tiny but had an open space adjacent with lounges and plenty room oh and exceptional staff service lady went above and beyond for us.the back area had fire pit and pool tables rooms have high 12 or 14ft cathedral type ceilings awesome

The shower for onsuite was way to tiny for a fatty like me i litterally coudnt wash myself proper as couldnt move lol and water only just had pressure but not complain was hot as Fk
