Located in a quiet area,close walking distance to the Hot Springs. All the staff were friendly. Although the cabins were a little dated, they were exceptionally clean and all the outdoor tables and chairs were cleaned daily.The BBQ’S were close to the cabins.

The Diner next door was closed, So if you didn’t have your own food you had to drive to town for meals. Not the Parks fault,but would have been convenient.

It’s located 350 metres from the hot springs, the amenities were very clean, the staff super helpful. Really good pricing too.

No complaints from me, the only thing that bothers me is people wanting 5 star accommodation for a budget price. And expecting excellent wifi in rural towns. Get a grip.

We stayed in cabin 19 in June 2025. It was spacious, clean and had everything that we needed for a comfortable stay. The cabin is old however, and needs some maintenance work. The park is a short walk from the Katherine Hot Springs.

The washbasin was too low.

Standard country caravan park. Helpful proprietors, but internet TV service has too low a bandwidth when the park is fully occupied. Signal kept freezing so impossible to follow programs in the evening and morning. Taps drip due to lack of maintenance.

A stones throw from Katherine Hot Springs (5-10 min walk). Quiet and private.

The cabins are older and could do with a freshen up, but they were tidy and comfortable so we were very happy. The cooking facilities inside the cabin weren’t great (hot plate was very slow to heat) but there is also a public kitchen available

Just out of town and the Katherine Hot Spring were right behind it . Staff were really very nice and accommodated us when we added an extra day and moved into a hotel room . They allowed us to move straight over at 10.00am in the morning at normal checkout time and did not make us wait until 2.00pm check in time .

Good location to access the hot springs… an unexpected bonus!

Although the room was “discounted” according to the booking platform and the “going rate”, I still found it expensive for a single traveler simply looking for a private bed for the night (not at TV, not a fridge, not complimentary coffee, not a bbq out front, etc. etc.)

TV reception was poor. Keypad to access facilities is difficult for older people particularly if you have arthritis or forget your glasses in the middle of the night. A swipe card system would be better.

Great for short stay and with family. Only stayed in the motel room for two nights. Could have stayed longer. Loved access to the information in the room for the venue and region.

Wasn't a long enough stay.

Best thing about this motel/park is its location to the Katherine Hot Springs - directly behind and only a 300m walk. The springs are amazing, water is perfect temperature and these are not as busy at the other water holes in Mataranka. Next door is a service station for fuel and snacks, and this is only a few min drive into the heart of town. I stayed in the motel section, and would definitely recommend this to other guests.

The rooms within the motel are two way entry - good if you needed to evacuate but I was a little uncomfortable with the front door (closest to the road, and no fence blocking off) being accessible, with only a basic lock. This should ideally be updated and made more secure.
